Never, ever, EVER will I again wait 15 years between dentist visits. I'm just going through an ongoing treatment hell... Fillings today, on opposite sides so the parts of my face that aren't numb feel twice the size.
Anyway, I'm determined not to be blue about it. The sun is shining, I'm not at work (and have the day off tomorrow) and I had a good weekend.
Ficlet by request Happy Ending Meme:
Any character/pairing from the fandoms I usually write get a happy ending. Either canon or from my stories... (want to know what ultimately happens to the zombie!bunnies?)
Only exclusion is any ongoing verse... ;)

Would it be possible to request something with Major Lorne from SGA? He’s such an adorable 2IC, I always squee when I see him on screen. :)

"Are you sure?" The woman beside her is pleasant-faced and sweet sounding. She glows unlike anything Sha're has ever seen.
"Yes," Sha're says, nodding as she looks over her work, this place she has created. The lines are blurred between her world and the one he'd often spoken about.
His Egypt.
"Yes," Sha're repeats. "We will be happy here."
Now she waits.

"So, are you sure you want to do this?" Sheppard asks, raising an eyebrow. When he asks, he gently taps the bars on Lorne's collar.
He's the Colonel now.
"Absolutely, sir," Lorne says, not able to keep the grin out of his voice even if he was able to keep it off his face.
"I mean, it's just so..." Sheppard makes a gesture with his hand, a surely this is crazy flick of the wrist.
"She is mine, right?" Lorne prods and Sheppard looks from Lorne's face, to the large bottle of Moet he's grasping in his hand.
"C'mon. I mean... the Death Star? It's a little grim don't you think?"
Lorne looks up at the Battle Cruiser that will be his home for the forseeable future, the first hybrid ship meshing Ancient, Earth and Asgard technology. The front line against any attackers either in Atlantis or back home.
"Not at all," Lorne dismisses, hoisting the champagne aloft.

This may be more bittersweet than happy...
And Sam.
For the first time in nine years.
Now he sits at a table, crayon on his hand, painstakingly scribing his name. It's slow going, the road back will be long and arduous. There's no guarentee there will be a full recovery...
But.
Dean sits opposite, reading a book and looking up every now and again to make sure Sam is still working. "C'mon now," he says or, "You can do it, you got this."
The first time Sam makes it all the way across the room on his own two feet, Dean is grinning like he's won the lottery. Sam is smiling too, kind of lopsided since his face doesn't want to cooperate like it used to but he manages to get out, "Dean!" clear as a bell.
Bobby, who'd been visiting, never felt the need to rib Dean about the tears he shed that day. Mostly because he'd had to wipe away a tear or two himself.

Bobby settles himself in the booth opposite Sam, watching the boy fidget like he's fit to burst. There's a tall stack of pancakes in front of him that he hasn't touched. He pushes the plate aside as Bobby leans sideways to dig his wallet out of his back pocket because he feels like his right ass cheek is about a mile higher than his left.
"It's nothing bad," Sam is quick to say. He's looking at the door every now and again and Bobby's not sure why. He'd spotted Dean skulking outside. "He's got something to ask you," was all he would say.
"Something happened?" Bobby presses, starting to feel a little like he wants to fidget himself. It's been a few years since the war, since they saw the other side of it and damned if he ever thought that would happen.
Hell sealed off is a hell of a thing. Bobby's had to actually open up the junk yard because the exorcisms have trailed off to nothing and he's finding himself more often than not these days... idle.
"You know Tam?" Sam asks and Bobby nods slowly. Dean and Sam had been taking in strays for a time, anyone who wanted to learn the life or who'd needed time to recover from being possessed... or worse. Tamara had been a skittish mess when they'd found her and was now helping rehabilitate others. Wars always left casualties and not all of them dead.
"We're having a baby," Sam blurts and Bobby blinks at him for a moment before he grins big and takes his cap off, smacking Sam in the head with it.
"Geez, Sam! Why the song and dance? This is good news."
"I just..." Sam goes back to fidgeting, toying with his fork. "Tam's parents are gone and me and Dean... you're the closest to a dad any of us have."
It takes a moment for Bobby to really get what Sam is asking. He decides to put the poor boy out of his misery because Sam looks like he's in actual pain.
"I want no cutesy names," he says with a raised finger. "Just grampa or pop or somethin' is fine."
Sam lurches out of his side of the booth and dives into Bobby's, enveloping the smaller man in a bear hug. Bobby lets him even though through the diner window he can see Dean raise his arms in a dear lord, what are you two giant girls doing gesture.

"Maybe we should do something nice for them?" Reynaldo prompts. Zeefer is carefully, carefully preening because these days he's liable to take his face off with a good cleaning.
"Like what?" He's just a bunny after all and his brain is small, although he secretly thinks it much larger than Zeefer's.
Reynaldo rolls onto his legs and looks over at the humans. They're both asleep, even though both Zeefer and Reynaldo have figured out they don't need sleep anymore. What are you going to do? Human brains are smaller than rabbits', at least Reynaldo thinks they are.
Zeefer makes his way over to his human, the smaller one with the bow-legs like a frog's. His human sleeps on his front all the time. He nudges his way under the human's hand, which had been resting on a knife. The human kind of grumbles, but then his fingers twine with Zeefer's ears and the smallest of smiles graces his face for just a second.
"Huh," Reynaldo huffs. He nudges his own human with his nose and the human slits open an eye.
"What are you doing you weirdo?" his human asks, but then he's scooped and deposited on the human's belly and gets a full body-pat, ears to tail.
"I don't know why you were worried," Zeefer says, settling down. "They're simple creatures."
And okay, maybe they both sleep too.
Just for kicks.

Just the image of Sam wrapping Bobby up in a huge hug with Dean in the background rolling his eyes?? FANTASTIC!!
and Bobby blinks at him for a moment before he grins big and takes his cap off, smacking Sam in the head with it.
Wait. You mean his hat comes off? I thought I was just hallucinating that in "Mag7." *g*
Thanks for this one.
