-> Signed up for goingonfacebook because how could I resist a Darcy fic exchange?? That exchange is just hitting me in the Darcy kryptonite.

-> 5k down on the 2nd 3rd 4th attempt at my 2nd marvel_bang story. I'm having a quiet weekend so hopefully I'll get a lot of writing done (good intentions always go astray alas!) and I really should get back to the *first* story because even though it's currently at 11k it's not nearly finished.

-> Yeah, I'm reading Teen Wolf fic now. I hope you're all happy.

-> I can't believe I still have to wait a week to see the new Bourne. By all reports it's good though (not that there was any doubt!). 6 more sleeps till I can have it in my eyeballs!!

-> Saw a guy wearing a KNOTTY BUT NICE t-shirt, and while, yes, he had dreadlocks so that would be what it actually meant, I couldn't... fandom kinks have ruined my brain and I went the other place.

-> I have already written 6k of a second piece in the life as a treehouse verse. I have NO IDEA where this came from and whether there will be more but have always had a not so secret yen for the Avengers as a dysfunctional adopted family.

-> THIS. Just... every now and again something really good for your eyes comes up.

Where are the fics where Hawkeye is a total badass at everything EXCEPT THE BEDROOM?? I have been having an insanely busy/crap week and I need awkward boys (and girls because Darcy!!) to soothe my soul.

-> avengers_bang rough draft is sent in. Phew! I have a history of changing what I'm writing mid-stream and have kept to that here. Only decided to refocus about a week ago and have been marathon-ing it, ugh! Hopefully I can stick and finish the first spn_j2_bigbang I've been working on so I don't give myself a heart attack. It'd be a nice change of pace.

-> reena_jenkins has done a lovely podfic of my SPN genfic Snuffleupagus. Head on over and snag it and let her know how lovely! There are more SPN and some Avengers fics in the pod-pipeline by different folks so I'm really looking forward to those!

=> I've re-written my Translations, Podfics and Archive Requests post because I've gotten a few very tentative requests to podfic some of my stuff lately and I realised that the blanket 'no' about archiving outside of my own control and translations seems to kind of cover everything in that post which I didn't mean to do. I'm always happy for people to do podfics, remixes, play in my sandbox, what have you. I would appreciate asking first of course but I'll always respond and probably 99.9% of the time in the affirmative. I hope I've made that post a little less vague.

=> I went to see the John Carter movie and the best bit? Was the SUPER LONG 3-D AVENGERS TRAILER HOMG. It even had the Tony-poking-Bruce bit and Bruce was all smiley and exasperated. I have to admit, The Hulk is like, my LEAST favourite superhero of all time. Except that I have great affection for Mark Ruffalo so the Avengers has even found a way for me to like The Hulk. Is there nothing this movie can't do??

Usually, I am slow moving like pudding hopping from one fandom to the next. I started out in Stargate (and yahoo groups, dear, dear, yahoo groups) and basically stuck with it for a few years. Then Supernatural hooked me in (I don't even remember how - I remember avoiding it like the plague initially). That was a long (and still enduring considering I'm working on my spn_j2_bigbang) relationship.

Like molasses, I moved on to Inception, because a movie hadn't hooked me like that for a long time and the stories coming out of the fandom were interesting. The playing field was endless and the bromance epic.

So, Avengers. What the hell? Why did it whup me upside the head and how did it happen so fast? Those of you sticking with me for the Inception and Supernatural, never fear, I'm as slow to let a fandom go as I am to move onto a new one and still have plenty of WIPS in both, but geez. I don't know, I can't explain it.

I ship everyone with everyone. I'll give anything a bash and usually I settle on just the one pairing. There's Steve/Tony of course, but then there's Darcy/Clint, Clint/Coulson, Steve/Bucky, Steve/Clint (I have not seen one story with this yet but hope springs eternal or I'll have to write it anyway) etc, etc. I like reading about them all being BFFs, or doomed romances, or domestic schmoop or, or, or...

Anything.

Anyway, the point of this is to say that I'm smitten, so apologies if that gets old because you're like, what the hell, I don't see it, not my cuppa. BUT I am glacial in my fandom movements so don't think I'm abandoning you if you didn't sign up for Avengers. I'm just playing with my new toy, will return you to your regularly scheduled programming soon, I promise.
