I had the amazing priviledge of reading this in large, glorious pieces that landed in my inbox like gifts from some amazing boy-schmoo deity. I might be the teeniest bit biased because this started life as a remix of my story If At First which was my very first Avengers story that was written as comment fic in foxxcub's journal (circle of life yo!) but IT IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT. Be prepared to laugh, clutch your heart and basically never want it to end.

It's been a long weekend for me and I've actually been able to read some stuff I had bookmarked, so have some long overdue recs. I'm nowhere near through all my open tabs so expect more of these soon.

So Caught Up In You by build_the_moon - SPN - Jared/Jensen Gilmore Girls fic with Rory!Jared and Paris!Jensen. Delicious crack made of deliciousness.

Meet You At The Dock by standing_fic - SPN - Jared/Jensen - Immerse yourself in this languid tale - sweet and sticky like syrup.

Hotter Than Tales of Crack Peddlin' by hackthis - Inception - Arthur/Eames - This pairing is so joyous and I am devouring Inception fics. Pitch-perfect characters.

Breathe on FF.net - Bourne Identity - Marie/Jason - Thanks to annerbhp for pointing this one out, lovely but hurts my heart to know where this is going.

Alone by knowmydark - Inception - Eames/Arthur - Lovely and spot-on character voices.

The Eames and Arthur Supervisory Hour by hackthis - Inception - Arthur/Eames - Adorable and again, just right.

Autoimmunity by mercurial_wit - Inception - Gen - The beauty of this movie is there is so much blank canvas to fill about the supporting characters. This is Eames.

Skin by duckcrab - Inception - Arthur/Ariadne - A simple and elegant telling of a relationship underway.

Thank You for Your Interest by moonythestrals - Inception - Arthur/Eames - Again, a slowly unfolding relationship explored. Lovely.

Now my work has blocked Google docs which... argh! Now I have even less time to write and I was in the final push to get my apocabigbang done so I'm going to have to try and squeeze it all in on the weekend. Not to mention this year's Big Bang plus I've got like, three other gift-stories that are ALMOST done but not quite.

I don't get to write anymore because between work (where I'm at for probably 10-11 hours a day plus the two hours it takes me to drive there and back) and the gym and other exercise-related activities (because I'm in that final push to lose the last 10kgs of the 50kgs I am losing and I need to basically ramp up my exercise to achieve it) I just have no energy left. I had to take today off because I have an upset stomach of doom that I think was brought on from being basically overtired and stressed.

I'm just feeling... sad at the moment. It's probably mostly because I'm just generally run down. Whenever I get overtired I also start having vivid nightmares which doesn't help. My parents tag-teamed me today on speaker phone to say they were concerned that I was doing too much.

*takes deep breath*

I just need to keep telling myself that it's not forever. I just need to get this one big life-changing thing done with so everything else will fall into place.

In happier news, I will definitely be responding to the lovely comments about the second robot!Dean fic. I'm just relieved people didn't want to lynch me when the story didn't exactly... finish. I'll also end on a much happier note with some recs. (From the NON time I have to read at the moment).

fleshflutter has started a new J2 AU WIP of doom and it is SPECTACULAR. Rule 26. Head on over and cheerlead.

Being Human fic - Generalisations which is George/Mitchell awkward first-time and I am in LOVE with how entangled_now writes them. I love accidentally finding a new (to me!) Supernatural author and from this I found she writes SPN and she has a bunch of Sam/Lucifer that I never knew I wanted but devoured so check it out.

The only j2_everafter fic I've been able to read so far but ADORED was indysaur's and behind this door... which is J2 Monsters Inc and no words will describe how perfect and adorable this is adequately enough.

I have a crap load of stuff bookmarked so expect more recs very soon!

I am doing the dance of finishing my spn_remix I had been dithering for the longest time and then knocked it over in one hit because after going back and forth, I ended up remixing the first story of my author's that I looked at and I should've known that would happen and just saved myself a lot of hair pulling.

I have also made a 7,000 word dent in my robot!Dean story and I'm having fun with it. It will definitely not be big bang length but it will rival probably anything I've written other than ongoing verses. (scroll to the bottom for a snippet)

Scattered by littledrop, (SPN, Gen) - The author's summary is the best way of describing this fic but it's wonderful in its simplicity. While Sam was at Stanford, he wrote a letter. It took him quite a while.

Fruit Salad by janedavitt, (SGA, John/Rodney) - I basically make squeaking sounds whenever Jane writes anything, let alone John/Rodney.

Amanuensis by pepper_field, (SG-1, Gen, Jack-Daniel friendship) - Oh how I miss this kind of story. Just a little cut scene but will leave you grinning.

Should've Gone Hunting Instead by iamstealthyone, (SPN, Gen) - You all know how partial I am to the stories about the boys and the in between of their lives. This is marvelous.

Five Lies John Told by cesperanza, (SGA, John/Rodney) - I think... I think I have a thing for when one character sits vigil by another, be it in a hospital or elsewhere. Internal anguish is my cuppa apparently.

An Inaccurate Telling by mmmchelle and thegrrrl2002, (SGA, John/Rodney) - I can't go past a story written by chelle or grrrl so when powers combine... hoo boy!

the winter of a long night by oxoniensis - (SG-1, Gen - Continuum snippet) - This is a wonderful piece about Daniel.

I Dunno Third Base by vee_fic, (SPN, Gen) - The characterisations and the tiny details are all wonderful. These boys, this life, just right.

Commentfic by jd_junkie, (SG-1, Jack/Daniel) - This is very cute and funny.

The Gay That It Is (Or: The Gayest Gen Story Ever) by gekizetsu, (SPN, Gen...ish) - Just... boys.

Everything I Learned About Marine Biology I Learned From My Brother by kroki_refur, (SPN, Gen) - Hahahahahaaa... This is crack at it's finest and there are even pictures.

War Bride by Speranza, (SGA, John/Rodney) - This is such a simple concept but told with such heart and humor. Lovely.

Dimensions And Verticals by bellatemple, (SPN, Gen) - More multimedia crack and supremely awesome.

Silence Cast To Night Skies by tahirire, (SPN, Gen) - I think one of my favourite sub genres in this fandom is stories about John and Dean coping without Sam. This is hurty and good.

In A Foreign Tongue by eighth_horizon, (SPN, Gen) - Another little story-type I can't go past is the boys accidentally adopting baby monsters... ha!
