Coming off my self-imposed mini-hiatus... because work is dead and I'm just waiting on one contract. But I have to stay here...
So, for January 1st, request other firsts. Name a character from any fandom I usually write and a first time (kiss, kill, make cupcakes, etc) and I will write a ficlet.
On the first day of the new year, it's time for some first times...

The phone ringing jolts him out of it and he checks the display before flicking it open. "What?"
"Can you bring pizza home?" Sammy asks.
"Sure," Dean says, feeling on top of the world. He's sixteen, has a car and killed a black dog by himself. Sammy is home and safe and studying for a final. The injuries seem far away and unimportant. "Extra anchovies, right?"
Sammy makes a wretching sound into the phone and Dean just laughs.

I'm dithering between Cam Mitchell and Dean Forester, but I think I shall have to go with Dean.
Gilmore Girls, Dean, first time he repairs/builds a car.

Rodney had protested that just because it was stuck in Ronon's hair when he came through the 'gate didn't mean he deserved a reward for it.
"Cookie monster?" Rodney hazards. There are pieces of cookie flying every which way. Ronon had been sedate with the first one and had seemed to go a little... crazy after that.
"You hear that they've made cookie monster eat in moderation now?" John asks, raising an eyebrow. "Apparently devouring cookies with reckless abandon was sending out the wrong message."
"The world's gone insane," Rodney huffs.

"You look like you've just been through the wringer," Rodney comments and Teyla smiles wanly.
"I was just speaking with Doctor Jackson," she says. "He is very... enthusiastic."
"Talked your ear off, huh?" John prods, grinning.
Teyla pauses for a minute to rub at one of her ears as if she's just checking it's still indeed there. "I think he asked me a question."
"Just one?"
"So far as I could tell," Teyla says slowly. "However, it took about two hours."
"What did you say?" Rodney asked.
"I said yes."
"Teyla," John said with a chuckle. "Do you know what you said yes to?"
"I have honestly no idea."

Re: first times
Dean looks at Cassie for a second before he realises what he's just said.
"No," he says and then grimaces. "No, not my first time," he clarifies. "Just my first time not making for the door as soon as I could."
"I was just trying to cuddle you," Cassie sniffs and Dean grimaces. "You're jerking around like I'm shoving hot pokers under your nails."
"Fine, alright," Dean allows and then lays still. Cassie just rolls her eyes and then shoves and rolls him until he's how she wants him. Dean relaxes when she stops shoving and he's frankly surprised. "Hey, not so bad," he sighs because he'd always been awkward with women after the main attraction. He never had anywhere comfortable to stick legs or arms and something would always be asleep within ten minutes. Cassie had somehow fit them together like jigsaw puzzles.
Dean had been starting to worry that the only person he would ever be able to share a bed comfortably with was Sam and what that said about him.

The first time Sam Anders kills a Cylon.
The first time Kara Thrace lets Sam Anders see something she's painted.
(and/or, of course. sigh)
From:

Kara looks up Sam’s body at him, a swipe of colour across her forehead and an incredulous look on her face. “You wanted to see me paint,” she says, waving her brush to emphasise her point.
“I was kinda thinking that I would be a more passive…” Sam raises an arm to make a gesture but Kara pins it back into place with a knee.
“You’re lying still, or at least you’re meant to be. How more passive can you get?”
Sam huffs an exasperated sigh. He’d heard about Kara’s art from Helo. Sam had been complaining that he couldn’t figure out how to make Kara de-stress and Helo had said that sometimes she painted and that always seemed to chill her out. Sam wanted to see the Kara Helo had described with paint under her nails and a smile on her face.
He looks down his body at the brilliant swipes of colour adorning his torso. “I wanted something I could keep,” Sam finally admits.
“We’ll take a picture,” Kara says and then raises an eyebrow, edging the top of Sam’s boxer briefs down with the end of her brush. “In fact, I insist.”

OKAY well how about First house - either Dean/Rory or Sam OR Dean (Or John/Mary if you so desire). Pick whoever!?

"Yes."
"You bought a house?"
"Yes."
"You bought a house?"
"Yes! Hell, Mary, why do you keep saying it like that?" John asks, backing away from the furious blonde woman who is advancing on him, one finger poking at his chest every time she speaks. That finger is sharp.
"Because you bought a house!" Mary yells, throwing her hands up in exasperation.
"I thought you'd be happy," John says, mystified. He'd asked Mary to marry him as soon as he got back from his tour, but he hadn't thought about the logistics of it. She was now eight months pregnant and they were still living in his parent's garage that had been converted temporarily into a small apartment.
Mary had joked that they would have to stick the baby in the sink for the first few years.
"You bought a house I've never seen," Mary cries, slapping a hand to her forehead.
"Well, here then!" John doesn't mean to yell back but he'd been looking forward to tears and hugs and being a hero for the day and it just wasn't working out like he'd planned. He grabs the photo of the place from his top pocket and shoves it into Mary's hands. She looks down at it, looks back up, then looks down at it again.
Everything stills.
"Oh John," she says and when she looks up, she's smiling and John's never been more relieved in his life.

It's not really fair that it's not even attached to the Grekish demon anymore and it's still doing its damndest to choke him.
"Let go you fucker!" Dean growls, still trying to get his fingers in between the vulnerable skin of Sam's throat and the coin-size suckers on the tentacle.
"Sssalgh," Sam tries, thumping Dean's thigh with the heel of his hand.
"I'm trying," Dean snaps, still sounding pissed off.
"Nugh, Deee... sssalgh!" Sam tries more vehemently. His hand flails and luckily comes into contact with the bag of rock salt he'd dropped. He grabs it and jerks and it hits Dean in the side of the head.
"Hey!" Dean protests.
"Ssssalgh!" Sam insists and Dean pauses for a second and then rolls his eyes.
"Christ, yeah. Sorry, forgot," he says, keeping one hand insinuated between tentacle and skin while he grabs a fistful of salt with the other. He sprinkles the salt over the tentacle and it immediately shrivels and drops away. Sam takes an almighty pull of air and then coughs, Dean setting him upright and then rubbing his back through the spasms.
"Okay?" Sam asks after he's managed to take some unassisted breaths.
"Yeah, demon's dead," Dean nods and then sits back a little and grins. "And at fifteen, you're going to be the legend of your school," he adds.
"Why's that?" Sam asks, looking wary.
"Because you have the biggest freakin' hickies I've ever seen," Dean says with a laugh.

"Sorry," Daniel apologises, grimacing. Something in his stomach churns and he had thought maybe if he'd said it out loud, he'd believe it.
"You okay?" Jack asks, mostly on reflex and then grimaces.
"Yeah," Daniel says, more firmly. "I'm fine."
He doesn't realise just how many times he's going to say those words over the next few months and years and how they'll never, ever be true.
