Dean is the pilot of a liveship known as an Impala enslaved to military service and he is bonded to it. His brother had joined the space corps but found out they were more corrupt than the criminals they chased and Sam comes back to his brother and they both break free, taking the Impala with them and go in a really big crime spree, but everyone actually loves and protects them because they hate the space corps.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Farscape type of living ship but this works just as well if not better because the Impala could talk and be a little quirky... hehehe!

Because of a hiccup in affirmative action, Sam becomes the first male fairy godmother and all the other FGs are being real hard on him and making him miserable and waiting for him to FAIL and have his wand taken off him.
He finally gets an assignment that everyone thinks is too easy where he has to make a handsome prince fall in love with a poor little matchstick girl named Cindy. Unfortunately, the handsome prince (Dean) takes one look at Sam and decides that that is the ass he would like to indeed tap. Sam is all mortified and trying to be the bigger FG and not FAIL and so keeps trying to hook up the prince and Cindy while denying the fact that he also thinks the handsome prince is all, well, handsome.
Happy Ending - with maybe a massage thrown in.

I... think I am completely in love with the idea of them as small town cops. Bobby would totally be the Sheriff and Sam and Dean are the two deputies and they have all kinds of hijinks and people are always reminding Dean that he was the one that always got hauled into the Sheriff's office when he was younger and the local high school kids never take him seriously when he tries to haul them in for pot smoking because up until a few years ago they bought their pot off him but he struck out into the world to make his fortune, fell on hard times and came back to the only life he knew. In a twist, it's Sam that didn't leave but followed in his daddy's footsteps and has a passel of kids and BBQs on Sundays and is all like, "Don't you want this Dean, seriously?"
And then there are monsters.
Oh, and a Happy Ending.

They are fighting, first off. They are stranded on a desert island and not talking to each other ala Blue Lagoon and Dean makes this awesome three-storey palace with his bare hands and Sam is shivering under a palm leaf and Dean is all "Who wishes they had taken shop now, huh geek boy?" and Sam is all, "Shut up! I can totally beat you in scrabble and that's more important." and he's starving and cold and Dean takes pity on him.
What else happens in Blue Lagoon? Oh yeah, they have a baby and accidentally poison themselves in a raft.

Dean is indestructible and Sam has visions of the future. Their father is trying to keep from the clutches of a shady governmental organisation who is bent on having both boys for nefarious purposes and Dean stresses because he's never going to die and Sam will eventually and there's lots of angst and jokes about spandex.
Either that or I can get off my ass and write that Greatest American Hero AU where Dean accidentally finds the shiny suit and Sam laughs for days.
And days.

For something different, Dean Winchester is found offworld and it's discovered that he's actually a human from Earth and has been living offworld for years. They find that his father is an ex-military "nut" who has been trying to tell the government that aliens stole his son and is raising his other son as a paranoid believer who is really twitchy but brilliant.
