-> I'm going to be reccing more on my tumblr now because you just have to copy/paste the title and author off the A03 page and it does all the HTML stuff for you! Did I mention I am the LAZIEST person in the world?
-> I did a bunch of last minute fandom stockings and I think the reveal is... tomorrow? Not sure, I hadn't really investigated but just did some so peeps would not have empty stockings because that's just way too sad. :((( Some of the stuff is going to totally end up in fic though because I am shameless. ALSO LAZY - SEE ABOVE.
-> I'm watching a 'songs named after women' special on a cable music channel and while... good in theory and I always love me some Janey's Got A Gun... but ugh, SO MUCH TERRIBLE. I'm not sure what these programmers are thinking other than... not.
-> I need to write more. I HAVE DONE NOTHING, UGH.
-> Anyone got some bookrecs for me? I'm pretty eclectic in my reading - if you've read something lately that you loved, let me know. I'm starting to feel bad about basically only reading fanfic... I used to get through a book a week and now at a party on New Years someone asked me what the last book I read was and... I COULDN'T REMEMBER. I was horrified. I basically have turned into my sister who DOESN'T READ FOR PLEASURE AND I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THAT.

The last thing i read that was 'new' that i really liked was called 'The Wind Up Girl', very dystopian-future thing set in, if i remember corectly, Thailand. Creeped me out a bit, but I enjoyed it very much.
I just...i dunno. There's very little m/m stuff in 'pro' writing, most of it stuff i have no interest in (like romance stories) and pretty much *none* in sci-fi or cyberpunk. I read fanfic to escape the heteronormative world, and it seems like pro writing *still* isn't really catching up. Meh.
I can recommend any and all Tanith Lee and C J Cherryh, and if you like mysteries, Dick Francis. Also all William Gibson. Feel free to ask for specifics if you're interested. Lee and Cherryh write both fantasy and sci-fi and Lee writes some stuff that's under the 'horror' genre, though it's not particularly, in my mind.
