-> I'm going to be reccing more on my tumblr now because you just have to copy/paste the title and author off the A03 page and it does all the HTML stuff for you! Did I mention I am the LAZIEST person in the world?

-> I did a bunch of last minute fandom stockings and I think the reveal is... tomorrow? Not sure, I hadn't really investigated but just did some so peeps would not have empty stockings because that's just way too sad. :((( Some of the stuff is going to totally end up in fic though because I am shameless. ALSO LAZY - SEE ABOVE.

-> I'm watching a 'songs named after women' special on a cable music channel and while... good in theory and I always love me some Janey's Got A Gun... but ugh, SO MUCH TERRIBLE. I'm not sure what these programmers are thinking other than... not.

-> I need to write more. I HAVE DONE NOTHING, UGH.

-> Anyone got some bookrecs for me? I'm pretty eclectic in my reading - if you've read something lately that you loved, let me know. I'm starting to feel bad about basically only reading fanfic... I used to get through a book a week and now at a party on New Years someone asked me what the last book I read was and... I COULDN'T REMEMBER. I was horrified. I basically have turned into my sister who DOESN'T READ FOR PLEASURE AND I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THAT.

Yay for fic recs! I will totally reblog awesome recs - yesterday I found one I hadn't seen recced anywhere else at randomficrecs on Tumblr and it was fantastic. It's Clint/Coulson where Phil is the one suffering the after the events in the movie: The Whole World Is Moving (And I'm Standing Still)

I feel your pain on the reading front. It seems like there's a crazy glut of lovely fanfic to read, what with all the holiday exchanges and everyone posting because they have some free time - I have all the things bookmarked for later! For actual books I've mostly been going through Tanya Huff's backlist on my Nook, but that's basically like fanfic anyway...

If you check [livejournal.com profile] rivkat's journal, she does a lot of in-depth book reviews, both fiction and non-fiction, so that might be something to go by - I'm reminded because I think she also had positive things to say about the Martha Wells books. As a bookseller, I'd say maybe check out one of the 'Best American ____ of 2012' series - the yearly short-story, essay, and non-required reading anthologies make a super easy way to find new authors/reads without a huge time commitment. And telling people you're reading an anthology is way better than " uh .... " *tries to think back to last book read* (of course, my copy is still in the queue behind all the avengers_fest fics, so :P)
