Probably the most dreaded words on the net. Why?? Why can they not figure out how to make this stuff globally available?
What I'm talking about is something I didn't realise you could do. Purchase digital quality downloads of tv eps from Amazon. They have started offering Supernatural S2 and I got emailed about it and it was JUST TO TAUNT ME WITH SOMETHING I CANNOT HAVE!!!!
Bah! I say bah!
There was all kinds of things. I wanted a download of Little Miss Sunshine but I cannot have it.
Again? Bah!

Like SG-1 is running in the UK but I can't d/l eps from iTunes until they air here. Probably an advertising thing.
The movie doesn't make any sense to me though.

Speaking from a professional point of view (I AM a librarian!) copyright has a purpose. Ensure that authors recieve just payment for their works.
As a fan - it sucks big time! (sorry, couldn't think of a 'polite' analogy!) I'd love to watch NCIS but in the UK we're waiting until April (if you're lucky). Okay, so we have SG-1 - woooo... I want to see BSG damnit! At the same time as the Americans so I don't have to worry about bloody spoilers!
What gets on my nerves is when the Big Media Companies trumpet that they're making their shows available on iTunes and the like... ONLY IN AMERICA! The Rest Of The World does not matter because they aren't providing advertising revenue etc... *shakes tiny fist of rage*
I (for some bizarre reason - it's a librarian thing, I feel the need to respect copyright!) will happily pay to download tv shows if it means getting good quality stuff that I can watch anywhere I choose (the family are also into NCIS - so watching it on the family TV is a Good Thing) but can I?
Can I hellfire!
In short? Hearing you in FM dude!
I'll get off my (professional and personal)hobbyhorse now...

To put them onto iTunes might generate income - but not for Skiffy. MGM and iTunes certainly. Ergo, they want to have the first air and get some of the money they put into the show back in advertising revenue.
Not only that but not everyone who watches the show would want to download at $2 a pop just to see it before they get it on cable. Nor do they have the technical wizardry either...
Or at least - that's what it seems like. I'm not 100% sure, I'm a librarian fercryingoutloud!
More to the point - at least in America, you have the iTunes route. The rest of the world doesn't (or at least UK/Europe/Austrailia)

It's just damn frustrating. I have to wait for every tv show... the ones that actually make it here that is and our free to air sucks donkeys. They mess up the order of eps, will randomly change the times eps are shown, won't screen it altogether etc etc etc...

It's great. It's oftentimes cheesey as all get out, but there's brothers and climbing stuff and boys fighting and yeah... just... *sigh*

You know what annoys me... for some reason they picked Jericho here to screen at the same time as the US. Why not Heroes or BSG or something I would actually watch?? And why is this the only show and NOTHING ELSE...
Obviously they have the ability to screen at the same time... they do it with Survivor here aswell... we just get gipped. bah!

Sorry about the delay, I was away for a week and should have tagged one of the other helpers to cover any queries for me but didn't think of it until I was without net access... d'oh!
