“Dean thinks our kid is pretty screwed.”
Sam is drawing lazy circles on Madison’s growing belly and she looks down, still mystified that she can no longer see her toes or even her feet anymore. “How does he figure?” she asks, letting out a shaky breath when Sam circles a little low and his grin turns mischievous.
“He thinks we’re either going to have a freaky-brained baby or a werewolf,” Sam says. “Or worse, a freaky-brained werewolf.”
“Do you worry about that?” Madison asks, wondering if at six months pregnant, she could still kick Dean’s ass.
She’s pretty sure she can.
“It’s going to be mine,” Sam says, hand resting flat just as the baby stirs. He smiles, the bright, all encompassing one that drew her to him.
“Everything else doesn’t matter.”
