Don't own, don't sue... yadda.
'Scars Remember Us' - Jack/Daniel
"It's weird that they left that there."
Daniel's hand chases Jack's own, where it's fingering his appendix scar. Instead of pulling it away though, instead his fingers rest on top of Jack's, remapping the tiny crescent through an outsider's touch.
"Maybe they wanted to give the impression that I'd been... undisturbed." Daniel says and Jack just looks at him, pausing in his exploration.
"You mean put everything back in it's place... like a ransacked room?"
"I just think they recognised that it was part of me, just like bones or blood."
"So we're just the sum of our imperfections?"
Daniel smiles indulgently, knowing that they have a longer road to travel now, but at least they have started on it together.
"Something like that."

'For You' (Sheppard/Rodney)
"You almost died."
"Yes, I do do that on occasion." John smiles, the lazy curving of lip that manages to hit you in the base of the spine everytime like liquid lightning.
"Can you please try to... not die."
"For you Rodney, anything."

'Fair Play' - Jack/Sam
They both have fists up but just as they are about to begin, he holds up his other hand.
"This is a stupid way to decide."
"It was your idea."
"I know, but I'm known for having bad ideas. You're the one that has good ones so... have a good one."
She rolls her eyes and looks at her curled fist which is at eye level. "I'm pretty much going with this," Sam says, indicating her fist with a slight tilt of her head.
"Ah, hell," Jack grumbles. "Can't I just pull rank?"
"Not this time, Sir."
They drop their fists together, three times and then look critically at them both, held only inches apart.
"What is that supposed to be?" she demands, noting how he has a balled fist with one pinky sticking out the side.
"Dynamite. Haven't you ever heard of dynamite? Beats rock, everytime."
"With all due respect, Sir, you're full of crap and I win by default."
"I got Daniel to believe me about dynamite," Jack grumbles and Sam rolls her eyes.
"Daniel has had more concussions than I have," she notes.
Jack smirks and then nods. "Fair point."

'Before You' - Sheppard/Ronon
There is nothing but shadow before him when he feels a hand on the back of his neck, fingers tapping to reassure that it's not an enemy.
He tenses anyway. Something about the man in the room with him always makes his hackles rise, probably because he feels like less of a warrior and more a battle-weary soldier when he is in the presence of true grace.
He feels the whisper of fabric brush passed him and knows that he has a solid wall standing between him and danger. He resents being protected and marvels at it at the same time.
He's man enough to recognise that he is conflicted.
He's not sure he's conflicted enough to let Ronon go first.

'Disappointing Her' - Faith/Wesley
"Because I let you down so badly."
He's talking to an empty room now, nothing but the lingering tang of her perfume behind, not that she was wearing any. He thinks it strange that you can identify a smell so strongly with someone.
For her it will always be blood and apples.
Don't beat yourself up, that's what I'm for
She'd said it with a wry grin and a twinkle but he knew, down in the darkest reaches of his mind, that he was not forgiven.
He wasn't sure he ever could be.

'Sharp Edges'- Jayne/Kaylee
He watches her and she doesn't know it. She's soft and pliable but not as innocent as she first appears. He sees the others coddle her like a child and knows that it grates, but she plays into it because it's what they need.
When the Doctor first arrives, he watches her. The way her eyes darken and her mouth opens and the tiny stutter of her pulse in her throat quickens.
The Doctor is oblivious. The Doctor has an edge to him and he knows that someone soft like Kaylee will get snagged and dragged, cut ragged and bloody.
All he can do is watch.
