I felt a little weird being in a fandom for a show I wasn't actively watching, so before I started writing TW I sat down and watched. (I found out I wasn't alone! So many people have commented on the stories I posted and admitted they don't watch the show, have just been fandom incepted! I don't feel so silly now!)
So, I'm making my flatmates watch Teen Wolf with me and I thought they would be all like this:

BUT then we were all like this:

To the point where girl!flatmate keeps asking, are we watching our fluffy werewolf show whenever we sit down to TV. Basically this sums up my feelings being incepted into this fandom:

I honestly think that I'm enjoying even season 1 so much because I had affection for the characters BEFORE I started watching. Either that or...

Stiles.
He's the Xander archetype because he's the brave everyman, the one that will put his life on the line, even though he has no special powers or skills (other than brains and an adorable bambi-like face). He's my favourite type of character, underrated and ignored but having shining moments that you can't fault.

He's the Willow archetype because yes, the magic, but also I read an interview once where Joss Whedon had said of writing Buffy: when in doubt, put Willow in jeopardy.

He's just so watchable.
