Ok...

So, yes, I do admit that I tend to be guilty of a lot of "Fade to Black"-ing in my fics. I don't do PWP and even when I try to write something light and smutty, angst just kinda nudges it's way in there, says hello and then stomps all over the light smuttiness until it's blink and you'd miss it fare.

So give me smutty prompts. I need to get more comfortable with it considering I'm writing a gritty, original apocafic and am mindful of doing something like "and then the zipper came down and then.... do do do, look over there, something shiny!" These people live in a desolate world of magic and violence and they're going to get gipped on the sex too? They will not be pleased.

The usual suspects - SG-1, SGA, BSG, SPN, Firefly, The Office, anything else you've seen me dabble in.

It's time for "Is it Getting Hot in Here?" ficlets by request...

(I haven't forgotten about cliche fic month... but it's been moved to... December for now. :))

You do realize how dangerous it is to post this kind of thing, right?

:thinks evil thoughts: Ah, ha! (no, not the musical group)

How about Daniel gets accidently handcuffed to Sam and Jack has lost the key?

Ohhh!!

John/Teyla with Rodney :P They're trapped somewhere bad and it's the only way to keep Rodney's mind off the impending doom!

Hmm, do you write het or slash? If het, then I'm looking for the missing scene when Vala handcuffed Mitchell to the bed. I know, I know, it's kind of obvious, but hey . . .

If slash, then I'm looking for Mitchell/Shepard. That should need no explanation. *grin*

*wanders off to think of a Cam/Shep prompt*

Daniel/Vala- Fighting turns to sex.

Sam/Cameron- Stuck in a cave.

John/Elizabeth- John has to be her husband so the alien men will back off from her. (This could also fit into the cliche stuff *g*)

Ronon/Elizabeth- Just all out alpha male sex!

Evan Lorne/Elizabeth- Making John Jelouse...it goes a bit far.

Lee/Dee- Make up sex.

Wow! Okay, so I gave you a lot of requests. *g*

Uh... ooh! but... I could... ooh!

apocafic! *is h0r for apoca-anything* Might we be allowed to see?

okay. smut. SPN -- I'd like to see Sam get a long, slow, utterly filthy blowjob. Make those mile-long legs buckle. And bonus points for creative necktie usage. *g*

Or if you need something more general to work with, slash involving Lorne and someone-not-Parrish just to see how it'd work. :)

Alright, I'm new here and was plotting to lurk about for a bit, but the lack of Firefly love was just begging to be remedied.

How about pre-series interlude where Jayne and Kaylee get hot and sweaty in the engine room? What the captain don't know ain't gonna hurt him.

Or, really... you know, Jayne/just about anyone. *waves her Jayne-love flag proudly*

Okay, you've got way too many already, but I'm looking forward to reading! It does help to just start writing the smut. Practice makes perfect and you stop feeling a bit funny about it. :)

:) Off you go... I've posted a bunch... *grin*

I have come to the realisation that yes, I am crap at smut.

From: [identity profile] katcorvi.livejournal.com

Oh, I'm so old school: Sam/Jack (cause it's hot *g*) or Sam/Jack/Daniel. Or what about Sam/Cam?

As for prompts, what about Sam in leathers, motorcycles, or small, confined spaces? Hot weather, hot thoughts, hot sex!

I have only just recently gotten over my fear of writing in-fic smut. It's a little terrifying at first, but the more times you type/write/say the words, the easier it gets. *Hugs* Good luck!

(Um. SPN. Any two people of your choice. Biting. Lots of bruises and teethmarks.)

Dee/Adama She's always worshipped him, and I half think she married his son, because she couldn't have him. What if they both thought Lee was dead? The guilt when he came back would be... yeah.

From: [identity profile] kellifer-fic.livejournal.com

Hee... that's okay... I'm not too spoiler phobic... I can't really be because we pretty much get everything last.

I think the one time I was really annoyed was someone having the fact that JDM died on SPN in their usericon only a few days after the ep aired in the US. Give me a chance to see it you monkey!! :P

Heh. Your writing problems sound a lot like mine. Even when I try to write a PWP, there's a pretty good change that it will turn into a huge angst-feast, and I still haven't managed to write anything even remotely explicit for SPN. It's sad, really, seeing that I started out as a 100% slash writer when I first ventured into online fandom. Now most of my slash isn't even worth anything above a PG-13 rating (or R, but not even for the sex then, only for the rest of the story/the atmosphere), and I find myself writing gen and even the occasional het story instead.

Prompts, hmm... do you write Wincest? Then Sam/Dean, stuck in a (cursed) elevator. Maybe add some kink? (well, no, I'm not really good at giving prompts, I just realized that as well *g*)

From: [identity profile] miera-c.livejournal.com

heh. Having just done this in my own lj (and written something like 25+ pages of smut in response over about 10 days) I'll just say: good luck! ;)

Ooooh! I think I'm just gonna hang back with [livejournal.com profile] surrealphantast and enjoy the bounty. However, when you do get caught up on BSG episodes, let me know. I have something in mind but I don't wanna spoil ya.

Not yet... I am lame and still haven't finished season 2... :(

Question: why is fade-to-black a bad thing? I'm not saying that smut is bad or evil, I just prefer not to read it as a general rule, even in romance fics. I'm not repressed, or anything; I just don't care for it in my fanfic. Yet there seems to be a pervasive attitude in fandom that if you don't write smut at least occasionally, there's something wrong with you.

I mean, if there's a solid reason for it and it advances the plot and/or the characterizations, that's one thing (but usually when authors claim that they're stretching the point, at the very least). If it's just there for the bow-chicka-bow-wow, I'd prefer it not be included for a variety of reasons.

From: [identity profile] kellifer-fic.livejournal.com

Believe me, I agree as a general rule... I tend not to read PWP or anything like that either. I more often than not actually skip over NC17 unless I know the author and trust they have written some plot around everything else.

I'm more doing this for a writing exercise for myself because I tend to write *around* it when in the few cases it does genuinely belong.
