Welcome to Through The Gate Darkly - the Dark SG-1 ficathon.

Antihero - A protagonist who lacks the attributes that make a heroic figure, as nobility of mind and spirit, a life or attitude marked by action or purpose, and the like.

Our team or just one member has lost the path, lost their way, or never had it.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the Daniel from Absolute Power had been real, and he decided he wanted his team along for the ride? How about if Jack finally got sick of politicians and went rogue? What if Teal'c decided the Tau'ri weren't moving fast enough to free the Jaffa? If Sam finally realized her evil genius, would she want the boys along with her? This ficathon is for exploring the darker side of SG-1, be that from a gen, team, slash or het angle. Darkfic is often only connected to non-con or kink or violent stories, but we think there's so much more to explore. Darkfic can also take a look at a SG-1 with bigger faults than those we see in canon, and it can examine those team bonds or relationships and wonder just how far they can stretch before they break.

Take a walk on the darkside with us and join in. Whether you can imagine SG-1 as anti-heroes or simply an AU where one or more members are just twisted a few degrees to the dark, this is the ficathon for you. Does the end always justify the means?
