I was at work until 2am on Friday... and had started at 8am... *cries*
However, this will only happen once every three months or so, my boss has allowed me time in lieue and to top it gave me a cash bonus... so I pretty much get time off in lieue *and* paid for my time. The pressure in this job is a lot but the bossman is lovely. :)
I got all excited because I had a package at work and thought it was my lovely new laptop backpack, free of charge because I was allowed to order it through work as stationary (sweet!!), but it was just some dumb software I didn't need anymore. Bah.
Yes, ficlet requests are coming... I didn't get as many done as I would have liked to but am working from home tomorrow to give myself a bit of a mental health day so will be trying to get some out to y'all. Although for some reason I have a followup story to the child!Ronon and Teyla story I wrote a while ago that just won't leave my brain, mostly because the disappointment of people who liked the story up until the point where Ronon and Teyla were returned to adulthood was palpable and has always bugged me.

So, I propose a discussion topic. Is there a story/stories where you have gone back and wondered why you ended it like you did... or wished you'd ended it differently? Or is there a story you've read where you would have liked to have seen things pan out differently? Feel totally free to pick on mine if you wish... :)
(I also just realised if you type meta a bunch of times, my brain automatically reads 'tame' over and over again... spooky!)

Actually, not usually. But there's a few I did that started out completely differently, and I always sort of wonder which way I really should have gone. Like, Survival was initially about John and Rodney and told in a non-linear fashion for no apparent reason. And I'm still attatched to the original, even though I realize it's not as good.
I've never been disapointed with how your stories ended. Except for that one where they didn't all have teh hot sex on Weir's desk at the end, while Caldwell looked on and cried.

Um, planting them shallowly. With straws. So as not to suffocate them.
