General question for the peanut gallery

What the hell is Major Lorne's first name? I've seen about five different variations... most common is Marcus but is the existence of his first name merely fanon as I can't find it anywhere 'official'.

Anyone who actually knows will get telepathic candy.

Ha! Yes, I remember seeing some of those but I don't think Michael is a first name that suits the character...

I think I'm going to have to go with Marcus and then change my fics when they finally come up with a first name for him... I just hope we don't have to wait as long as we did with Walter!

Maybe it's the writer's schtick.

Fandom just really likes to call him Marcus. There's another name that fandom uses quite a bit, too, but I can't actually recall what it is at the moment.

Apparently it was Michael which is a bit weird considering the episode 'Michael'... heh...

Also - I think that might have sprung from the Alias people... it's a bit close to Michaelk Vaughn for me... heh

As a big Lorne fan, I echo those who've already replied: fanon is Marcus. Canon there is no name (yet).

Season 3 better be seeing more Lorne. I don't care if we get a name or not, as long as he's there. *love*

Hmmm... will have to use the fanon name (even though it irks me to do that) because midway through s3 I just know we're going to get a first name and it *won't* be what we all think it is and there will have to be changing of stories.

I've managed to avoid using it till now by being crafty but doing a Lorne-centric fic without it will probably be a little *too* weird.

Another popular fanon name is Nick; I've actually seen that more often than Marcus. His lack of canon first name is troubling, but he is luckier than the poor gate technician, who until recently didn't even have an official first name.

Until a recent convention, he was only Chuck unofficially, until it came out that he's even Chuck-the-gateroom-guy in the scripts. And he still doesn't have a last name.

Unfortunately, I have no idea on his canon name (apparently, he doesn't get one yet, dammit). For fanon: I've read him as Ethan (I personally love that name) and um, yea. I think I read a story with him as Lucas, which is also a personal favorite, but I can't remember the story. v_v
