blanket permission; avengers trailer is good for my eyes; rec

=> I've re-written my Translations, Podfics and Archive Requests post because I've gotten a few very tentative requests to podfic some of my stuff lately and I realised that the blanket 'no' about archiving outside of my own control and translations seems to kind of cover everything in that post which I didn't mean to do. I'm always happy for people to do podfics, remixes, play in my sandbox, what have you. I would appreciate asking first of course but I'll always respond and probably 99.9% of the time in the affirmative. I hope I've made that post a little less vague.

=> I went to see the John Carter movie and the best bit? Was the SUPER LONG 3-D AVENGERS TRAILER HOMG. It even had the Tony-poking-Bruce bit and Bruce was all smiley and exasperated. I have to admit, The Hulk is like, my LEAST favourite superhero of all time. Except that I have great affection for Mark Ruffalo so the Avengers has even found a way for me to like The Hulk. Is there nothing this movie can't do??

Hi! I was zooming by on friendfriends and saw this:

and had to stop and say, my god, it's like you reached into my brain. I can't stand the Hulk. I have decades of dislike built up. When the Illuminati blasted him into space I kind of guiltily thought, "Hey guys, that was really mean," but mostly I was thinking, "Good-byyyyyyeeee!" And yet, Mark Ruffalo! *draws hearts around the wonderfulness of Mark Ruffalo* He's so talented and charming that the little bits of his Bruce we've seen have won me over (so far, anyway). I never in my life have had an, "Aww, Bruce!" reaction, and yet! It's a very impressive trick!

So that's all, really. I just wanted to wave a little flag of solidarity. *g*

I KNOW RIGHT??? I just... couldn't ever get behind The Hulk as a character to like and every portrayel of Bruce has just left me cold.

Then there is Mark Ruffalo being all ADORKABLE and being exasperatedly amused when Tony pokes him trying to break his zen and The Hulk being protective of Natasha and catching Tony in mid air and... yeah, I can actually get behind that.
