[livejournal.com profile] avengers_tables stories are basically taking up all my brain space at the moment. I haven't written this easily for a while so I kind of want to keep up the momentum.

Progress:

2/25 stories done per the updated table cut below.

Underway:

pretending to be a couple - Haven't started but I have ideas and I was going to write Clint/Darcy for this but then read a very adorable one so I think I'm going to go back to Steve/Tony - an AU where Steve is going back home for his sister's wedding and his evil relatives won't believe the whole liking guys thing isn't a phase unless he turns up with a Stable Boyfriend.

inebriated confessions - Where Darcy and Steve are platonic BFFs and Clint and Tony aren't buying it. Basically, no one thinks to ask Steve to go anywhere so he's stuck haunting SHIELD headquarters until Darcy takes him out for pizza. Friendship and jealousy ahoy! This might actually end up being the forced bonding square though...

Right now Jane is flicking rubber bands at the Avengers poster Darcy has tacked up in her cubicle. Darcy's always had team spirit, feels like she's being supportive if she owns merchandise. Jane carefully targets each member, except Thor of course, and Darcy's pretty sure it's because Jane thinks Thor would know, would be disappointed that Jane had sullied his visage or something.

Darcy just can't believe she works around people that have a poster. It's all still more than a little startling.

She also can't believe someone gave Jane a rubber band gun. These people are obviously crazy.

"You're just reciting what the Man told you to," Jane accuses, aiming for and hitting Iron Man's crotch.

not really dead - Where Bucky's actually alive and Tony is deeply suspicious about why.

“Tony?”

Tony turns when he hears his name. Fury makes an impatient noise and a gesture Tony would think was rude if Fury actually did things like that. Tony doesn’t really care though because it’s Steve walking down the hallway towards him and Tony feels relief, embarrassing but all-encompassing, flood through him.

Steve looks tired, has the pinched line between his brows he gets when something is really worrying him. “Hey, hi,” Tony says, hopes his smile isn’t as dopey on the outside as it feels on the inside. “I was thinking about sending out a search party.”

“You knew exactly where I was,” Steve huffs, knuckling one of his eyes like an exhausted kid. “Jarvis told me about the tracking device.”

“Traitor,” Tony snorts but he can’t stay angry when Steve just reaches out and curls Tony into himself, drops his head on Tony’s shoulder and lets out a long breath. “Hi,” Tony says again, at a loss as to anything else he could say. He gives affection haltingly and badly if he has to be honest so it’s lucky Steve just takes it whenever he needs to.

“Hi, you been here long?” Steve asks into the join of Tony’s neck and shoulder.

“Only a few minutes. According to Fury I was skulking.”

“You don’t skulk.”

“That’s exactly what I said.”

“You strut, even if you’re somewhere you know you’re not supposed to be.”

relying on the enemy - Where Stark is a demon and he can't believe he has to actually deal with an angel called Steven to avert the apocalypse.

I'll have to try and find the link! You can try searching under the Clint/Darcy pairing on AO3 because that's where I read it - I can't do it while I'm at work. :D There's isn't that much at the moment so I think it comes up pretty quickly.

I am really looking forward to the Bucky isn't dead one. You've got me hooked with that little snippet.

I am so happy that you are writing Avengers. I love your work, and I love the Avengers fandom- it's two great tastes that taste great together. ;)

*GRABBY HANDS* DARCY!! I will take her in any permutation. Damn, I wish you hadn't read that fake boyfriend cookie Darcy/Clint story because I want a million of them. You should still do it. *nods*

Hee, Jane with the rubber band gun. I can't wait for the others. It's good to see you around again. :O)

Btw, have you read the Loki and Darcy to RPF fic (http://norsekink.livejournal.com/3415.html?thread=8659543#t8659543)? It's a WIP and oh so freaking funny.
