-> Firstly, happy holidays to everyone. This will probably be my last post before the weekend so just wishing everyone safety, joy and full bellies.

-> I posted two fics in one day. Fear my productivity!

-> I think my comment pages look the same... but let me know if they don't? I'm not really sure how to check what other people see but I'll do the custom thing if it's an eyesore.

-> Lots of people are angry and talking of migrating. I always get the fear sweats when people talk of abandoning LJ for good because it took a LONG DAMN TIME to feel comfortable and build myself a little nest and I HATE MOVING. You lose things and there are boxes and you have to figure out when bin night is and then you realise you've gotten stuck next to the neighbours who play thrash metal at 4 in the morning. That being said, I actually have a DW account which I never use but will probably have to start. If someone could point me in the direction of easy instructions on cross-posting it would be appreciated. I do have an AO3 and I'll be slowly archiving stuff over there and also posting anything new. I'm thinking more and more people are actually just reading there given the way the responses have swung which is totes fine.

Lastly, have something prettier to look at than the current default comments page.

The great thing about Dreamwidth is that you don't have to switch completely. DW will import your LJ journal, including comments, if you tell it to. If you post from DW, you can set it to automatically crosspost for you. There are a lot of personal journals that are on both sites and crossposted, and for those I generally watch them on my DW read page (which is a Friends page except that wanting to read someone's entries doesn't automatically give them access to your locked entries). There are also coms that are on DW but not on LJ. For those, obviously, I read them on my DW read page. But there are a lot of people and coms who are still on LJ, so I keep up with my flist for them.
