-> I am actually working on my hellishly looooong overdue Sweet Charity fic. I suppose my main trouble was getting back into the John/Rodney headspace but I'm finding them again. I've just got to remember that John is laidback and dangerous and Rodney is indignant and over-explains things.

-> Since I'm finally without a ficathon deadline of some kind looming over my head, of course one is about to start up that I absolutely cannot miss. kamikazeremix is starting up again for the SPN fandom. This is *way* too much fun because while it's a remix, you get to choose the story of yours that is remixed. Of course, the terrifying thing is you get just the one story to remix in return and there's no buy-outs. There's no signing up and then requesting that you don't get tentacle porn. As a *mostly* gen writer, this is like tippy-toes on a cliff for me but that's why we ride rollercoasters, to scare ourselves silly, right? Signups start August 1 so I'm going to be going through my master list till then. (Oh hahahaa... I just read there's no wacky AUs - that's me stuffed... *laughs*).

-> I'm loving the WIP memes and have been perusing and making grabby-hands at the potential fic out there that is apparently languishing on people's harddrives. I'm only resisting because I'm housesitting for four weeks at the moment and am *without* my harddrive. The only stories I have access to at the moment that I haven't posted are my spn_summergen story which is to be posted a nonny mouse initially and my sweet charity fic. Heh.

I did kamikazeremix last year and it was awesome. I had a good time with it. I wish I could do it this year, but the timeline is not quite right for me to participate (I will have limited internet access at posting time).

Do you know when assignments would go out? I'm leaving the country on August 25, and I won't have regular internet access after that until December.
