- I've got some great ficlet requests and I'm going to write like a mad thing over the weekend. I think my favourite that I've kinda been writing in my head is the 'Sam turns into something that isn't cute story. I'm thinking of titling it He Ain't Heavy, He's My... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT??
- I'm the 'Ask The Author' this month at
spnroundtable so if you have any questions for me head on over.
- The below is a not-so-subtle nudge for any writers on my list to do this because I need stuff to read over my weekend of enforced hermit-i-ness (I have a bum shoulder and I've planned a weekend of NOT DRIVING. WOO!) Feel free to do on your own journal or in comments here...
Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same. Everyone else in the world should do it...
Five Things Daniel Does When He Can't Sleep. (SG-1, Gen) I don't know why I like this so much... it's the simple things.
Monday's Child. (SGA, Gen) - I think the skipping back and forth really worked in this story and I like the surreal feel to it.
Passing Through - (The Office, Gen) - I have no idea why I wrote this or where it came from or why my unholy love for the character of Ryan from Season 1 just tickled me so much...
Cover It In Chocolate And A Miracle Or Two - (Gilmore Girls, Rory/Dean) - I wrote this mostly for
oxoniensis but also for me because I wanted this. It's still my own personal canon that years later, after Rory has been on the campaign trail, they will bump into each other and realise what we all knew all along.
A World Of His Own Making - (SPN, Gen) I'm always going to pick this one because it took me by surprise. Up until I wrote that last scene with Bobby and Ellen, I actually meant for this story to be the cute wee!winchester fic it started out as.

I wanted to leave a prompt, but by the time i saw your post, it was over limit.
Hrmmmm...fic recs. Self pimping! Wheeee!
:)
Two Roads Diverged. SPN. A 'what if' fic - what if Sam had his powers from birth? I like it 'cause it just like how Sam and Dean are with the powers always there, tweaking things and not tweaking things.
Scaling Heaven. I loved this because it married two favorite things - Spike/Xander and space opera. Yes, it's Spike and Xander in spaaaaaaaace!!
:)
Neverland. Again, Spike/Xander. But it's a crossover with Peter Pan. And not the Disney Pan, either. I love that it actually bloomed into the dark, poisonous flower that was the little seed in my head.
Thou Born to Match the Gale. Spn. Angels! It worked. I was beside myself. :)
And finally - my all-time favorite fic i have written.
Letters. Again, Spike/Xander. Post-everything, and letters. It just....it worked so well. I loved it so much. Still do, despite all its faults.
There you go! I actually love a lot more of my stuff, heh, but you said five. :) *no, i have no false modesty*

Hey, I haven't decided on what I'm writing yet so feel free... I didn't say I was doing the first ones I got because I'm evil.
*glees*
I don't think I've read your Spike/Xander stuff so I'm definitely going to check it out... :)

HEEEE. Sounds like a great idea! There definitely needs to be more fic with the boys turning into not cute things. I once ended up writing Dean turning into a pig because I was tired of cute kittens or puppies. Heh.

Can you link me to the pig story? I'm pretty sure I've read it but it's been a while! :)

Ooh, sea creatures? I'll have to look out for that one!
Here's the pig story. :)
