Ficlets by Request

I haven't done one of these in a while what with the yo-yo-ing livejournal work access and doing a roundup made me realise that I've just dropped way off in writing.

So - request a ficlet. I'll do five... not necessarily the first five but I have been working on nothing but long fic for the past two months or so and need to flex my ficlet muscles before they atrophy.

Usual fandoms. Crossovers, AUs, timestamps, crack, whatever tickles your fancy.

Ooh, I like this one. How about John taking care of Sammy when he was little. I've always imagined John wasn't quite that bad of a father . . .

I don't think John is a bad father at all. I think he... prioritises badly because he's so caught up in his grief initially and after a while can't see a way clear of it. I think maybe if someone very early on had been like, "Stop, this isn't good for you or your boys" then maybe there would've been a chance but he most likely cut everyone out of his life that would've been capable of doing that, surrounding himself with like-minded people who wouldn't tell him no or stop.
