Just got done watching Supernatural 4x02 and...

Okay, I think the way my speculation is going would be more how I would write something because my brain is weird but...

I've been thinking and it's *very* unlikely but what if Castiel was Lucifer - just kind of trapped and needing a human to set him free, get the ball rolling.

*speculates like a mad thing*

Or... maybe Lucifer *is* trapped in Sam and the Yellow Eyed Demon's Very Special Kid Olympics was a way of finding him. Like he's reborn again and again in a human form with no memory and that's the ultimate prison. Maybe he and the other Special Kids all had a certain type of indicator that made him believe they were possible candidates and the whole blood-in-mouth thing was just the demon tagging the kids, a way of keeping track of them, but their power was *not* from the demons.

I will once again be very wrong but it's fun to have thoughts.

I'm not sure I'd go as far as to speculate that Lucifer is in Sam, but I do wonder if he is one of the 66 seals, and if Dean was brought back to keep him from getting "broken."

I only think they might go that route because of Azazel asking Dean that time about how sure he is that what he's brought back is 100% Sam. If it's not Sam, then what is it?

I don't think it'll go that way, but I think it would tie in if they did.

yeah, my head is all fuzzy from Supernatural. I also wondered if Castiel might be evil somehow - I mean his wings are black and all. I dunno. But, I will be tuning in all season.

Maybe the YED knew he'd be reborn in a kid who already HAD powers, and you're right, he was tagging them all so he could keep track. Or maybe he was hoping to wake Lucifer up a little bit, and that was a way to do it, with demon blood?

Or maybe, the YED knew that if Sam died, Dean would bring him back, and Sam being dead for however many days left his body open for someone to leave a little bit of something in it, so when Lucifer was released like Lilith was trying to do, he'd have an in.

According to Christian mythos, about 1/2 the angels got cast out with Lucy, who in traditional mythos is ridiculously beautiful and charming - like creepy sex voodoo attractive.

You know, I think you have a too high opinion of the writers. Imho, they're not THAT creative. Your scenarios -both of them- are very, very good and hence, they most likely never be filmed. Meh.

Hee... burned twice eh? :) I think there's a *lot* of scope and I like that I have NO IDEA where it's actually going this season. Last season there was an inevitable ending pretty much - we all knew Dean would die and be brought back but this... I have no idea.

Heh. I haven't even watched 4.02 yet but at the end of 4.01 a little nagging voice in the back of my mind kept saying "So, he's an angel. MmmmKay. And he's got wings...which whoop de do. Did the boyos miss religious mythology class on the day they did Judeo-Cristian mythos, because is it just me or don't BOTH sides have angels?

I ain't saying Castiel ain't an angel, I'm just not sure he's an angel of light, you know? :)

If he is an angel of God, he'd say "Hey, Dean. I'm an angel of God and the big guy has a mission for you".

But if he's working for the other side, he'd still say ""Hey, Dean. I'm an angel of God and the big guy has a mission for you", yes?

I wish you did write it. I love the idea of Lucifer being trapped in Sam -- although, they would have to be separate entities because the demon in 4x01 specifically said she could smell Sam's soul. Only humans have souls, right? Anyway, yeah, that would be super cool. Maybe they would hire you, if I asked real nice?
