What's your oldest icon? What has made you hang on to it for so long? Does it mean something specific? Do you use it for special things? Show me and tell me all about it!

This is my oldest icon (I think...). Basically I hang onto it because it's my all time favourite. It's Eliza and Seth so that right there means it is literally made of awesome, all little awesome bricks stacked on top of each other, but it also just makes me... smile. I use it when I'm happy, when I'm full of glee or squee or just when I want to be.

On that note... I've been thinking I'd like a couple more kellifer icons (piccies with kellifer artfully written somewhere or kellifer fic even...) since I have icon spaces just going begging but I have no skilz whatsoever so if anyone were willing to make me any I would be willing to pay in fic, compliments or bordering on naughty massages. :) I would especially like something writerly themed - either an old timey type writer or pen and paper or something.

On a personal note - my kittie has now had the chop (internal chop because she's a she) and just watching her wobble around the apartment all completely coked out of her gourd was in equal measures heartbreaking and hilarious. I'm a gemini - I get to have conflicting reactions to everything... heh. Does anyone have any advice for making an Elizabethan neck collar stay on - because Sammy was able to get her paw through the gap between the collar and the plastic no matter how tight we did it and pop the stupid thing off.

I remember watching one of my cats passing out in the sandbox after getting fixed. She leaned against the wall for balance, then fell in and just crashed out. It was so sad yet hysterical.

And this is my oldest icon. I made my LJ shortly after the Birds of Prey TV show, I also used to RP Huntress and kept the goth_huntress name I'd used for yahoo.

I'd leave the collar off (you won't be able to get her to stay in it anyways) - I think it's pretty unncessary for a kitty chop procedure. They never gave me one with my kitten, they just said to try not to get him worked up for a few days.

Yes, I am replying to my own post like a lunatic. I wanted to add: when kitty is better, if you haven't already done it get her a toy called "Da Bird." You can get it at any Petsmart, or online someplace like Amazon. It is the BEST KITTY TOY EVER. It's a stick with a string with an aerodynamic feather attached to it - when you pull it, the feathers mimic a bird in flight. My kitty goes INSANE when he sees it. I'm talking full-body aerial flips and such.

Hahahaa... our kittens favourite toy is... a piece of string. :D We have bought her all these kitten-specific playthings and she shuns them all in favour of The String. She's like a kid playing with the wrapping when you've gotten them the most expensive tickle me whatsis on the market... hee!

Yeah, my cat loves string, but ever since he swallowed a foot of it whole and I had to give him a kitty laxative he isn't allowed to play with it anymore.

This is my oldest icon by the fabulous liviapenn. John's relationship with Atlantis was always magic for me.

Forget the Elizabethan collar. Maybe they worked once for somebody, but I can't believe one ever stayed on a cat who was awake. Our kitten won't go for a few more months yet, but go she will. BTW, have you figured out how to bottle some of the little wild animal energy yet? Actually, I'll just settle for the "Everything is a toy!" attitude.

Most cats hate the damn things with a passion. Dogs just sit there and look pathetic. I guess you just don't want the little baby to lick her stitches. Not a good thing.

When I was a total newbie on LJ, I would put this icon up for help, which was a lot back then. I still sometimes use it. Angel was my first online fandom too. I miss it so much.

I think this is probably my oldest icon, though I've had different variations on it, and I accidentally changed the key words last time I swapped out all my icons. I just find it funny and snarky.

Sorry, I don't seem to have any icon-making skills today, so these aren't up to much - please, please don't feel you have to use any of them! BTW, the first one could have a story title and 'by Kellifer' or something if you like - let me know, and I can do that.

I think this is mine. It's the first, or second, icon I've ever made (and thank goodness I've improved), but back then it had a different coloring (I shaded it in sepia tones). And it's Paul Bettany! Wooohoo. I made it when he wasn't as famous as he is now. Anywya, I recently got a paid account so I deleted or swapped all of my icons, but I didn't have the heart to delete this one because it reminds me that everyone will eventually get what they deserve. Eh. The second oldest icon is one of the most used J/R icons by blimey_icons
