Pepper Potts drummed her perfectly manicured nails on the counter. The men, or more accurately boys because Pepper had learned to tell the difference despite age working for Tony, who were currently loitering in the entryway both snapped their eyes to her.
"Can I get you two anything?"
The taller one, Samuel if she remembered correctly and she always did, cleared his throat and nudged the other who had started toeing at the marble floor with a boot. "No, thankyou. We're fine. We're just here to..." he made a small gesture with his hand that could have meant anything but Pepper decided to read it the way he probably meant and nodded slightly.
"I'll just go get your things."
Later, in the basement, Pepper eyed Tony. He was trying to manipulate the robotic arm he was working on to get whiskey to his mouth without having to disengage from the delicate work he was doing on the suit. Tony finally looked up at her when he could feel her stare, already frowning. "What?"
"Just tell me they're not using what you gave them to hold up a mini-mart."
"I certainly hope not," Tony deadpanned but then cracked a grin. "Oh, c'mon. They're good boys. My dad knew their dad, yada yada." Tony made an expansive gesture with his arm and ended up with whiskey all over his chest.
"I just..." Pepper cast about, her hand finally landing on Tony's mask that had been set aside. "They look more like they need a homecooked meal than a gun."
Tony paused in his work for a moment and chuckled. "Believe me, Dean would have found his way to the kitchen before you even knew he was in the house."
Pepper raised an eyebrow and Tony half-shrugged, a lift of the shoulder not encased in metal. "When they come back in a few months, you can pack 'em a lunch, okay?"
"You're impossible."
"That's half my charm."

Oh, wonderful!
I could just see the picnic basket Pepper would pack (that almost sounds like a tongue-twister). And I cannot even *imagine* what sort of ordnance the boys would get off Tony Stark. *grins*

...or Dean would blissfully bite into a sandwich only to discover it's hummus and bean sprouts. ;->

Loved it...but it does so SCREAM sequel. I am letting my imagination run away with me, but I would sure like to know what kind of gun Tony made for them.

Brilliant job at capturing Tony at work (loved that he spilled scotch on himself, hee) and Pepper's caring/mother hen nature.
The crack about Dean finding his way to the kitchen made me giggle. They do look like they could use a hot meal instead of a weapon of some sort.
You really did an amazing job at bringing Tony and Pepper's banter to life. :D

You really captured the Tony-Pepper dynamic. I can imagine the boys' POV...oh, that would be a good sequel---Sam&Dean's POV of Tony & Pepper!
WELL DONE!
