Slowly creeping forward...

I've written a whole thousand words for my big bang today which is better than... the zero I was maintaining so I count that a win. Also changing what I was going to write (not the whole idea but just the kind of timeline) may prove disastrous... we'll see.

I've also started SPN fic set in the Aliens verse because... I have no excuse.

“One male, around twenty years of age in stasis. No sign of contagion at all,” she reported, looking puzzled. “Unless he was the unhappy victim of a really elaborate prank, I have no idea what he’s doing out here.”

“You okay?” Hicks hissed at Dean and he hadn’t realized he’d gone rigid at the mention of a young man until Hicks elbowed him in the ribs.

“I’m fine,” Dean hissed back and he caught Hicks rolling his eyes out of the corner of his own.

“Don’t give me that shit, man,” Hicks snapped, a little louder. He was stepping out of the puddle of his suit that he’d wrenched off and he now crumpled it into a ball with jerky, annoyed movements. “You been actin’ strange ever since we dusted off.”

Dean and Hicks had been friends a long time and he knew he couldn’t bullshit forever. Dean sighed and leaned close to Hicks so no one else would hear him. “My… brother was on LV-426,” he admitted and winced when Hicks’ face went neutral. He knew that Hicks only went blank when he was really furious.

My muse is also schlepping around, drinking beer and scratching itself and not doing much else for me if the above is anything to go by. Anyone want to give me some crossover prompts? I'll do a couple that take my fancy... I need to kick my muse in the butt.

Damnit! I always want things to be written and then when someone asks for prompts, I can think of nothing. Maybe I'll be able to think of something better.

I'm always in favor of crossovers with crime dramas. Something where they profile Dean. Or, maybe someone finally decides that it's Sam who's the bad guy and Dean's the one along for the ride. And they're being interrogated.

Also. Firefly. But I want to see some stuff where Dean's kind of River's counterpart and messed up and Sam's the one that has to fix him. (Sam always seemed more like Simon to me.)

I don't know if you do Smallville, but I had this idea of wingfic where Lex is after the winged brother (it could be Dean - I like when Dean's the one people mess with). Maybe Sam leaves for normal, which wing!Dean is not, but then Dean disappears and then he shows up one night, all tired (like with dark circles under his eyes and kind of gaunt, because he hasn't had time to eat) and freaked out and looking over his shoulder for the guys he escaped from.

My goodness... you could totally do a mirror of the first season but instead of Dean turning up to Stanford because Dad is missing, he's turning up because he's being pursued and... *idea overload*
