This is the first day I've failed to write word one for
mini_nanowrimo but I figure I have a bit of credit saved... *shifty eyes*
Oh, btw... random plot anvils can just leave me the hell alone because I have enough planned to write... I don't need to be writing an SPN/Firefly fusion where Dean saves Sam from "school" ala Simon because Blue Sun is making his poor little psychic brother the crazy...
I've gotta make my 200 word quota so how about a random ficlet (I nearly called it a drabble but I don't want to make heads explode)... um... ah... um... ok, I'm writing something I want...
How about... -

"Paul, was it?"
The lanky guy with black hair and coffee coloured eyes looked at Dean, nodding in the affirmative. Dean thought that maybe he should've pulled out one of the shotguns so that Paul would know just how serious he was.
"I bet you got called Tall Paul at school, huh?"
The guy smiled wanly because he'd probably heard it a million times. His eyes darted to the hallway that Sam had disappeared down because Dean's brother was a massive girl and liked to make 'em wait. If they didn't run for the hills within the first thirty seconds of Dean sizing them up, then they were usually worth the trouble.
At six foot three, Paul was annoyingly taller than Dean. He was just thinking fondly again of his shotgun, perhaps of not giving Paul a choice about the whole running for the hills thing when Sam reappeared. He'd done that weird thing where he'd slicked his hair back because he thought it made him look respectable and Dean longed to just mess it up again.
"Dinner and a movie?" Dean asked with a raised eyebrow and Sam glared at him. "Have him back by eleven," Dean added, gaze shifting to Paul.
Sam was first out the door and Dean grabbed Paul by the shirt sleeve before he had a chance to follow. "I own many, many weapons," Dean said, his voice a low promise of dire things if his brother was returned in any way not in the same state in which he'd left.
"And a spot picked out to bury you."

*giggle* You really, really should. Please? Seriously there's not enough of that crossover and if you write it I KNOW it's gonna rock in so many different ways.
