SPN - Bobby
If John had ever asked, Bobby would have taken those boys of his in a heart beat. Sometimes he even thought of just offering. Anything to get the road dust off their clothes and the haunted look out of their eyes.
Bobby is third generation hunter. Most of the hunters he knows were born of tragedy but Bobby just knows he has a job to do.
Every year Bobby disappears for a few weeks. He makes a country-wide circuit to visit the graves of every hunter he’s ever known who has died in the line. Every year, his journey takes a little longer.
Atlantis - Major Lorne
Lorne thought he was being punished being sent to Atlantis. Now he’s just thankful.
Lorne had reservations about serving under Sheppard because he’d heard the rumors. He’s never respected a man more in his life.
Lorne went off the rails when he was a kid. He refocused a lot of his frustration and anger into his painting until there was nothing but calm left.
SPN – Jo Harvelle
Jo is able to see spirits and ghosts sometimes but she’s never told anyone. She thinks maybe it’s because she learned about the darker things when she was younger and carried that knowledge and childhood openness into adulthood.
Jo envies Sam and Dean and what they have. She could’ve really used a sibling when her dad died.
Jo knows the idea of Dean was only ever that. He’s already married to the hunt, just like her daddy was. She loves her mother but she doesn’t think she could ever accept coming second.
SG-1 - Teal’c
Teal’c relished the opportunity to live off base but knows it was for the best that he moved back to the mountain. It was a mistake to try and make Earth his home because he knows his heart will always be with the Jaffa. He came to realise that the feeling of home he got was from the people, not the place.
Teal’c finds cartoons a little disturbing but has found a new appreciation since Cameron joined the team. Mostly because he likes to turn the sound down and provide his own voices.
Teal’c finds it hard to have faith of his own and is reassured that he can rely on the faith of others.
SPN – Sammy
(I’m taking this as wee!chester… :) )
Sammy once asked Pastor Jim to adopt him and Dean when he was twelve. It was after Dean was thrown through some drywall by some fairly grumpy red caps and ended up with fractured ribs.
Sammy loved the summer. He missed school, but summertime meant that if they were travelling, he wasn’t missing out on anything.
Sammy has hated clowns ever since he can remember. Mostly because he learnt from a young age to read people’s intentions from their faces and a man with a painted-on face was impossible to judge.
SGA - Captain John Sheppard (Firefly fusion ‘verse)
John when he was younger believed in the good fight and that there was something out there watching out for him and his. After the war he’s lost the ability to believe in both.
John is all too aware that he rubs most people up the wrong way. He’s pretty much adopted anyone he’s ever met who could stand him into his crew.
John is pretty sure he will never again be able to call a place home. His ship, the people on it… that’s where his heart lies.
Jack O’Neill
Jack to this day has nightmares about Daniel stepping in front of that damn staff blast.
Jack saw a lot of himself in Teal’c – a man wanting to believe in the system he was serving but unable to not see its flaws.
Jack only ever truly relaxes when he’s in the sky.
