I keep opening work in progress files, sighing and closing them again.

Stealing this idea from [livejournal.com profile] rei_c because I think I need a brain reboot.

Give me 3-5 words and a fandom and I will do you a comment fic.

Maybe knocking out some wee litte fics will get my brain going again...

For her sixth birthday, her father got her a packet of stick-on glow in the dark stars. Sam remembers how he stood on the bed and held her up so she could arrange them to her liking.

"They're not glowing," Sam had complained with a disgruntled frown when he lowered her to the floor.

"You have to wait until it's dark," he said, dropping a kiss to her head.

Sam couldn't wait for night time and lay on her bed with her eyes glued to the ceiling as day slid to night, dusk easing into darkness. The stars at first were just a dull glimmer above but as her room was pitched into absolute blackness and she could hear her mother calling her for dinner, Sam saw them glow brighter and brighter. She reached small hands up towards them, tracing the constellations she had made, naming them in her head.

"Can I visit the stars someday?" she asked and her father had just smiled and touched her cheek.

"You can do anything."
