Of The Bad ->

My hot water heater decided to spring a leak the very *moment* my real estate agent closed for the holidays which meant I had to call my agent on his mobile and .... yeah. Hopefully the plumber is going today to fix it because the damp is coming through the wall in the loungeroom and I really don't want the Damp Lung for Xmas.

Of The Good ->

Got asked to submit a story for a zine which I've never done before. Am extremely flattered and will probably do it but they want a gen story and as soon as I saw a deadline, I came down with mental blankness. Anyone want to prompt me, I would love you forever. Oh, it's an SPN zine.

So ->

I'm making a Xmas dinner tomorrow night for friends with all the trimmings. I've never done it before but I will prevail. *pumps fist in imagined victory*. I have a turkey and you know I've never done something like this before because I really didn't know where to get one. My mum has been going a little crazy with the advice. I think she's weirded out that I'm cooking. Heh.

And if my turket is a disaster, I can distract my friends with candy and feed them sausages I'm getting for the kids that are coming.

My last post before chrissie. Have a safe and wonderful holiday, lots of love to all of you.

Oooh, are we allowed to know which 'zine?

Have a great Christmas. This is the first Christmas in three years that we're NOT hosting, so I'm looking forward to that part of it. The not so good . . . we have an eight hour drive on Christmas eve to get to our Christmas destination. Eight hours. With a three year old and a five year old.

Yikes.
