A friend just borrowed my stargate season 1 to watch for the first time...

D: I wasn't expecting... full frontal nudity! (says the boy in a truly scandalized... okay, not really, more giggly tone).
K: Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
D: I also wasn't expecting it to be... good.

Let's just say we've chalked up another convert... hehehee...

And considering that the first season has some really good moments, but it also has some incredibly lame and cheesy moments, if he likes season 1 he's really hooked! I usually start people off with season one or two, after most of the lame and cheesy moments were gone.

Heee. That was about my reaction when I started watching it a year or so ago. Although, it wasn't until part way through season 1 that I realised it was really good.

YES!!! It can be such fun converting a newbie to the joys of SG-1. Almost as much fun as when we first became converts.

Absolutely! I must admit I was a late starter... I only started watching when friends were ploughing through the season 7 dvds and I was like "Stargate? Isn't that a crap movie?" and then I sat on their couch for eight hours.

Admittedly, my sister recently borrowed my Buffy season 1 to start watching and I nearly gave her season 2 instead with a promise to give her season 1 when she was in love and more forgiving... :)

OMG, I didn't know there was full frontal nudity either until watching the first show on DVD. Well, the kids had watched it first also. I fail at being a parent. They both said that they didn't watch that part. Yeah, right.
