So, [livejournal.com profile] spn_halloween is back again. This ficathon is the reason I wrote about a sentient severed hand and dragons. They are taking prompts now and then you just pick a prompt and post before October 31st.

Also, I completed the three personal canon thingy for a bunch of characters from SG-1, Atlantis, Supernatural, West Wing, Gilmore Girls and Firefly...

My three personal canon facts about...

Dean Winchester

Dean always believes the bad things people say about him, but he rarely believes the good.

Dean tells everyone he lost his virginity at fifteen but he actually lost it at nineteen.

Cassie was Dean’s version of running away to college, his own little attempt at normal. It ended the way he expected it would.

Radek Zelenka

Radek’s accent gets thicker when Rodney McKay is in the room, mostly because he loves the way Rodney gets frustrated. Radek measures his success by the shade of purple Rodney turns. He’s made a colour-coded chart.

Radek almost said no to Atlantis.

Radek has a daughter back home who isn’t very interested in knowing him because she sees the man his ex-wife married as her dad. It’s mostly why he said yes.

Lorelai Gilmore

Lorelai can see herself sabotaging relationships, but she feels like she’s watching from the outside and is powerless to stop it.

Every time she catches herself saying something her mother would, she goes out and buys something furry/sparkly/noisey that she knows will horrify Emily. If anyone ever compares her to her mother, and it happens more often than she is comfortable with, then she will return a gift her mother bought her and get something deliberately hideous in exchange. Hence, the monkey lamp.

Lorelai was scared to death she wouldn’t love her baby like other people did. When she was given Rory for the first time, Lorelai tried to give her straight back but when the nurse reached for the tiny, squawling bundle of brand new Gilmore and Lorelai automatically curled Rory back into to her chest she knew she did.

Josh Lyman

Donna is the only person who can reel him in when Josh starts getting carried away. He hates it and loves it at the same time.

There’s always been a space between Josh and his parents because he can’t understand how they could have forgiven him.

Josh contemplated running for office but had to admit to himself that he couldn’t be that guy.

Lily – one of the special kids from Supernatural

Lily wanted to be a cop, just like her dad. Right up until her sixteenth birthday when a couple of policemen turned up at the door of their house to tell them that her father had been shot in the line. She remembers her mother’s face and knows she could never do that to someone.

Lily had boyfriends but her first actual kiss was a girl called Cally Walker and it was the one she compared all others to.

Lily dreamed about her girlfriend’s death for weeks before it happened but she just thought they were nightmares.

Malcolm Reynolds

Mal lost his religion in the war. He’d never felt so abandoned in his life and something one of the recruits who’d been shot in the gut said right before he died stayed with him. God can’t see us here.

Mal doesn’t particularly think he has a deathwish per se. Others may see it differently.

Mal wishes things were different, for all of them.

Evan Lorne

Lorne didn’t say goodbye to his mom. He couldn’t think how to.

Lorne is starting to think that fate is conspiring against he and Lindsay. He’s never been one to back down from a good fight.

Lorne was terrified going through the gate the first time, mostly because there’d been glitches the four times before that his new team was supposed to go through. To this day he suspects General O’Neill had something to do with it.

Sam Winchester

Sam was short and pudgy right up until he was fifteen. Dean always called his growth spurt redistributing mass.

Sam can drink pretty much anyone under the table. He pretends to be a lightweight whenever he and Dean are drinking because he knows that Dean thinks he needs to let go a little and he’s not comfortable drinking quite as much as he would actually need to. Plus, Dean thinks it’s hilarious.

Sam was working up to asking Jess out when she got tired of waiting and jumped him at a party. He knows Dean would think that story would be awesome but he’s never going to tell it. That’s one thing that’s his and his alone.

Cameron Mitchell

Cameron asked for a position on the stargate program because he thought General O’Neill would have to say no and anything else he wanted would seem fair and reasonable compared to it.

Cameron reinstituted team movie night because he could see the drift between the others and he couldn’t stand for that to happen on his watch.

The first time he woke up in the infirmary and they were all there, Vala included even though she was going through his wallet, he truly felt like he belonged.

Rodney McKay

Rodney doesn’t have the same kind of filter between his brain and his mouth that other people do, but he prefers it that way. He’s actually worked out a formula to determine how much time and effort is wasted on being polite and diplomatic.

Rodney can’t really understand why people like John, Ronon and Teyla all seem to like him so much. He gets how awesome he is, it’s just unusual for other people to understand it.

Every mistake is agonised over.

Jay Felger

Jay is honestly brilliant. It’s his enthusiasm that trips him up. He always finds the flaws in his experiments… it’s just unfortunately after he’s set fire to the labs.

Jay still can’t believe he gets to hang out with people like Colonel O’Neill and Major Carter. Well… not hang out per se but definitely be in the proximity of.

Jay has already cast himself in the movie of his life. He’s thinking either Tobey Maguire or Brad Pitt. He’s leaning more towards Tobey since the Spiderman movies came out.
