Anyone willing to help me out by offering up some prompts based on my Avengers Cliche Table of dooooom?? I just posted inebriated confessions yesterday, not really dead is currently being beaten beta'd but I'm kinda stumped as to what to start on next because there's so maaaaaaany.

Feel free to offer up any and all thoughts/prompts/pairings.

Cliche

undercover operation may end up being an Alias fusion I've been thinking about (Steve is accidentally working for a modern version of Hydra but thinks he's working for the good guys, drama!) but other than that, I'm having cliche block.

Tony (accidently) invents a time travel device (he was trying to upgrade his toaster to make it Hulk-proof) and gets thrown back to a time when Steve is just being considered for the Super Soldier program. Obviously, there would be daddy-issues as Tony gets in on the program.



I do not know if that is at all inspiring. Probably not, but it's what came to mind...

(Ooh, or Clint trying to seduce Darcy in all manner of ways and Thor keeps cock-blocking him. Or Clint and Darcy in general, they rule.)

[I]n the future, no one really holds doors open or pulls out chairs. Chivalry is kind of dead, but Steve is an old fashioned guy and if you are dating him (Tony) then well he is going to do all those things and more. And it's nothing but charming;

magical transformations - Turn Tony into a frog (he insulted a witch or something), eventually Steve's kiss turns him back.

woke up married - Thor's bachelor party in Vegas, everyone winds up married (Steve/Tony; Clint/Darcy) except for Thor who is scheduled to marry Jane in two days.

"Pretending to be a couple" and "Forced bonding" Steve and Tony get invited to Asgard by Thor but it turns out they have to be married/bonded as humans to step foot in Asgard, Thor thinks its ok to pretend but then they ended up bonded due to the magical properties of Thor's home and they don't find this out until they leave? This could apply to any pairing?

It says kids or babies like someone is going up to your character and offering them a choice. Does it have to be a cliche way to do the cliche? Because I'd love to see Loki with a baby goat - have you seen the horns on his outfit? That would be adorable.

Pepper will tell you that telepathy really isn't as pleasant as it sounds. Mostly (five times?) it calls for a lot of bleach and a damn good poker face. Very occasionally, though, it's the sweetest thing ever.

Coulson has amnesia, but he's pretty sure he can fake it through a day at work since his car has the route plotted into the GPS, and his planner has his schedule. How hard could it be?

Fulfilling a prophesy/destiny: Tony occasionally caught his father muttering to himself. How different things would be if Steve were here, how there should be more people like Steve in the world, etc. Tony might not know who this Steve is, but he does know that when Steve gets here, things are definitely going to change.

HAHAHAHAAA! I was going to possibly do Avengers/Bourne fusion as a nod to Jeremy Renner taking over the franchise but this made me laugh so much I might have to steal this one! HE WOULD BE SO LIKE THAT JUST PRETENDING EVERYTHING WAS FINE!!!

huddling for warmth: Thor is off to Asgard while the rest are on a mission to some hellishly cold place. Everyone is wearing winter gear except Tony in the Iron Man suit. Something damages Tony's armor's heater and everyone has to huddle around him till they get rescued by SHIELD. Tony can still be in/out of the armor and awake or nocked out.

kids or babies: One of the Avengers (not Thor) gets turned into a kid by Loki. The problem is that they still have their adult memories, but are mentally acting their kid age. So stuff that they'd built up coping mechanisms as an adult to handle now cause them to seek comfort, cry, smile, whatever...

amnesia: the perfect chance to see a characters true personality, without all the baggage of life. Tony less of an asshole (no daddy issues), Steve not quite so nice (doesn't remember being bullied), Natasha is a really crappy assassin but a kick ass barista(no memories of her assassin training), not familiar enough with the rest of the team...
