Others have said it before, but it bears repeating: Your sense of voice and characterization was great. I loved the balance among the characters and the way you used Lorne to bring about the resolution of your story.
I also enjoyed the quotes from "Call of the Wild." It's been ages since I read it, but the passages add to the "haunting" feeling of the story.
