You have no idea how much I enjoyed this! For starters you did John/Cas and time-travel, and then you used one of my most favourite story structures ever, what with the non-linearity and the repeated first/last scene {♥!!!}, and how well it worked with your pacing. I love, love love that this made me think and draw my own conclusions rather than feed me. It's amazing how carefully worded the scenelets are, how they build on each other. I loved John and Castiel's characterisation too, how they talk by not talking and how they can read each other, and fdjhlshggds wee!Sammy and wee!Dean!
It's amazing how much this fits into canon as we know it, and thank you thank you thank you for taking the leap and writing this.
