There's eleventy million things I should be doing but what am I doing instead?

Working on my [livejournal.com profile] j2_everafter story already.

Which is not due till April.

I'm geekily excited and also amusing myself far too much.

I swear, I will have a long-ish gen SPN story for you all before the end of the week. I haven't abandoned my gen roots with this latest insanity. There will also be McKay/Sheppard very soon and I also still want to get done the epic Daniel-Teal'c friendship fic I've been thinking about and there's also a Jack/Daniel idea stemming from the second movie and my AKB Milo/Adrian fic.

Too many things, too little tiiiiime.

ETA: Okay, not freakin' fair. I decided to go and get the Robin Hood DVD because it was 10 bucks at the local HMV and I had seen it there everytime I walked passed it for months. They sold out!!??? Also, I wanted Bones S2 and they said they had to have a $10 deposit for each ordered DVD and they had to place the orders separately.

a. WHAT???

b. The Robin Hood DVD is $9.99 so I would be pre-paying for something ordered that I could have no idea when it came in, if ever because they said they hadn't planned on getting in any more.

c. WHAT????

I just was listening to a How Stuff Works Podcast and they were talking about Philip K. Dick and Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? and another podcast where they were talking about robots and it got me wondering if you were going to write a follow up to that amazing robot!Dean story you wrote. Because I really loved it.

And it's good to get started on things even when they aren't due for a while, I procrastinate. Good luck with that!

Sorry for barging in on your journal.

Hehehee... there's never any barging - all are welcome. :)

I'm not sure I want to write a sequel as such because I like where I left the boys but I do have some urge to write some of the in between. I'd always planned for it to be much longer since it was supposed to be a Big Bang fic and am thinking of doing some flashback/flashpresent stuff.

It's just a little hard though because I really like everything about it at the moment and you always run the risk of muddying your affection for a universe by adding to it.

Yay for more SPN and John/Rodney stuff. I'm totally excited about that. :)

I can't believe the nerve of those guys. Their policy is all over the place. Granted, most shops do that, too, but it still feels like they're cheating their customers. BTW, I just checked the HMV online store and they do have the Robin Hood boxsets. The whole season in one set is like 27£, if you get the separated volumes (there are 3, iirc), each volume is under 9£. Wait, you were talking about the miniseries, right? Cos there are also the movies. Bones S2 is like 17.99 and the international shipping fee is reasonable. I checked: it's 4.5£ for non-European countries.

My sis and I bought stuff from that site a couple of years ago, but for some reason we never got the cds and no matter how much we complained we a)never got a refund, and b)never even got a reply to our emails. BUT we live outside the UK so...*shrugs* Also? I know our case it's probably unique, and shopping from HMV is probably safe, but I'm used to Amazon super-efficient and more than generous refund system and if I have to pay a few more bucks to be sure I get what I bought, then so be it.

Sorry for the long comment.

I know how you feel. An in between fic would be nice, whenever you're up for it. I would love to see how John changed from not wanting Dean as the bigger brother to having to depend on Dean to take care of Sammy. Which is a really interesting dynamic, so whatever you plan on doing, I'm all for it!

I'd get it off of Amazon if you can. I'm spoiled, I live right across the street from a large Best Buy. Although, they have been sold out of the Dark Knight since it came out and I find that annoying. In fact, perhaps after I clean up the massive mess my teeny tiny cat made, I will go buy it off of Amazon!

Hahahaa... No, I'm talking about the Disney animated Robin Hood because that's what my [livejournal.com profile] j2_everafter fic is... :D

If I order online I'll do it from ezydvd because I've *never* had a problem with them and I just think that's bastard-y. There is nowhere else I know that charges for you ordering. Angus and Robinson ordered a book for me from their US store because they didn't have it in the country and didn't even charge me shipping.

From: [identity profile] kellifer-fic.livejournal.com

I like ezydvd for online ordering because while I've got stuff off the US Amazon I haven't gotten anything off the Aussie one so I don't know what they're like, but I'm going to look in a few stores before I worry about it.

I have until April and it was my favourite cartoon as a kid so I'm pretty familiar with it, what's weird is that I can't remember how it ended!

Oooh Jack/Daniel! I feel bad that I've neglected them for so long.

LOL Right, I forgot! *headdesk*

Ah, that's nice. I used to order my books from Amazon cos it was relatively cheaper. In my country they put all sort taxes on books, esp on imported original ones (I hate reading translations) and they're treated like luxury goods, which wtf no. So even with the shipping fee, I'd get more books by ordering them online. Recently, the biggest bookstore in my town opened an online store where I can find the original untranslated novels and the shipping is free. True, I need to wait, like, a month or so, and I can only find like 80% of the books I'd like to read, but it's a small price to pay, imho.
