I think all three of the prompts I picked for j2_everafter were snagged before I was able to comment. I was delayed by having to look up the numbers for the prompts I wanted... heh.

You know when I said - The prompt I want isn't particularly one of the romantic classic ones so I'm hoping it will be overlooked. *crosses fingers* boy was I wrong. It went with the very first comment.

Ah well, it looks like I will be graciously bowing out then, worse luck.

In other news, I'm debating whether to try Big Bang again this year. I failed like a big fat failer last year but did end up *completing* my story (although nowhere near the minimum word count).

I just want to do it to see if I can... but I also want to actually really concentrate on original work this year and actually start sending it out.

This is my last day of holidays. I feel a bit meh about everything today.

ETA: And in one fell swoop oxoniensis makes my day completely better by posting me Dean/Rory comment fic *glees*

Argh, that's a shame - I just took a look at the prompts page, and people were obviously all queuing up ready! Maybe they'll let two people take a prompt, as there are so many people signing up - there can't be that many prompts available, surely!

Don't know. I just didn't expect to lose out on all *three* of the prompts I was interested in when I posted at 10:04. *blinks*

I lost a little time because I'd done my entry and then saw you had to list the prompt number as well and so had to go back and look 'em up before I posted. Although I don't think everyone did do that so maybe I shouldn't have worried about it.

The only other one I could think of would be Sky High with Jensen and Jared as the *parents* because otherwise it's been done to death but I'm sure that would have been well and truly snagged by now. :)

The text message is short and simple. Rescue me.

Rory smiles. Not a 911, but she puts on speed across the square anyway. Dean's at Miss Patty's, picking up some curtain fabric for Lorelai to transform into costumes, so it's not hard to guess the reason for the plea.

When Rory walks in, Dean is sidling awkwardly away from Miss Patty, clutching a bag of drapes, face pink and flustered. Trying to move away, at any rate, though with Miss Patty's arm lovingly around his waist (and hand slipping lower) he's having a hard time.

Rory calls out to catch their attention. "Sorry, Miss Patty," she says, "but I'm going to have to steal Dean away from you."

His look of relief is so pathetic Rory nearly laughs out loud. Miss Patty just looks disappointed, and pats Dean firmly on the ass.

"Come back soon, you gorgeous boy," she croons, and Rory would swear he blushes on top of his blush. "And you, Rory, I hope you appreciate this tall drink of water."

"Oh, I do, Miss Patty. I promise," Rory says, and takes Dean's arm.

"She's evil, isn't she?" he asks as soon as they're safely out of hearing range. "What is she? A succubus? Something worse?"

Rory just laughs.

"She pinched my butt," Dean says indignantly, and elbows her when she simply laughs louder.

Oh noooooo, you didn't get any of the ones you signed up for?? :( I haven't had a chance to go through and start crossing off claims yet, another mod's doing it while I eat dinner. I am SHOCKED they're going to fast though!

Are you sure I can't maaaaybe tempt you with another prompt though? I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO MISS OUT ON THE DISNEY GLORY! :D (feel free to tell me to shut up, too...I just want to help! There are so many prompts I want to see taken, and NOT ENOUGH FANGIRLS TO WRITE THEM, hehehe!)

I thought about doing the Big Bang (wow, putting an article in front of it makes it sound dirty. I'll leave it in, though) last year, if for no other reason than to get a story I want for myself. But then I realized I would have to write something and I signed up for an exchange once, and, well, it made a liar out of me. I am too scared to ever do it again!
