So, most people are going to be out and about (including me) for the next few days so you'll have to forgive me being early.

Sam’s second fatal mistake was falling asleep in the living room.

It was one of the Winchester unwritten laws that anyone that fell asleep in a common area, and that included the Impala, was fair game. Sam woke up with a crick in his neck and the underside of his wings festively decorated, food dye used to make the feathers green on one side and red on the other.

The first mistake which directly result in the second mistake was letting Dean talk him into a Die Hard movie marathon. He didn’t know what it was about Bruce Willis and explosions that put him out but he was asleep before the credits rolled on the second movie.

It also explained the placard hung around his neck that he noticed when he sat up.

Ho, ho, ho, now I have a machine gun

Sam groaned and pulled the placard off before making his way outside in bare feet and jeans. He had to blink a few times when he made it out onto the front porch and saw Edgar and Allen, their two new horses, with antlers. They were the plush novelty kind and both horses were looking fairly unimpressed.

A pitiful whine at his feet had Sam looking down and seeing that Hell Hound had been forced into a sweater with snowflakes on it.

“He must pay,” Sam said and Hell Hound let out a yip of agreement. “What are you doing?” Sam asked when he heard Dean emerge from the house behind him. Sam raised his arms to not only encompass himself but their poor, put-upon animals as well. Just as Sam spoke, the goat they had gotten the week before and christened Gary trotted by. He was wearing a jauntily askew Santa hat and trailing tinsel.

“Decorating,” Dean said with a shrug and disappeared back inside. “Now shake a tail feather Sammy, we got people comin’.”

Sam took a moment to breathe. “Oh yes, he must pay.”
