My Visa card had to be cancelled because a site I've bought something off was hacked... *frowns* Luckily, the "phishing" transaction (a small $1.00 transaction whoever the cockspanks were did to check which cards were active and which ones weren't before they took people for everything) was noted by my bank as an unusual transaction and they stopped it.

It might not sound it but I tend to have good luck with stuff like this. A couple of years ago a guy followed me from an ATM to a takeout place (I didn't notice) and stole my ATM card out of my bag while I was occupied. The moronic thing was that he took it *back* to the exact same ATM to attempt to basically take out everything and a particularly vigilant security guard (I never make fun of security guards because of this) noticed and remembered him and basically apprehended the guy.

I like to think it's good monetary karma. I found a wallet with about $500 cash in it in a bathroom in a mall and returned to the owner (she had a receipt in her wallet with her mobile number on it luckily). She was so surprised and awed to get it back but I had had something similar happen only a few months earlier and some kind soul returned *my* wallet to a local police station with cash and cards intact.

So it's annoying because I'm without card and internet banking for a couple of weeks (you access with your Visa card number... argh!) but not terrible.

Just a reminder, comment here if you'd like a Xmas card this year. :)

Karma will out, i do believe. And yeah, good that they caught it. Why two weeks? Does it really take that long to replace your card?

Seems like they could go faster.

But yay! Glad you didn't get ripped off for tons of money.

That is actually a rather cool money karma story. *g* It's so nice to hear of other people being Decent Human Beings.

Actually 7-10 days to get a new card sent out but I opted to get it sent to a branch instead of my home because I believe in good money karma but I'm not *crazy* to have a credit card in my mailbox... hehehee...

And yes, that is of the good. ;D They would've been crap outta luck though because I only had about $300 available on that card. *laughs*

I know... I've had lots of exposure to DHBs which is good. :D Makes me hopeful.

I had my credit card denied when I was Christmas shopping on the internet. I do shop on the internet, but I think I must have bought from five different sites in one day. The last one was denied. Grrrr. The credit card company didn't even apologize and try to fix it. It took them a few days to clear it too. I called the last site I visited and gave them another form of payment. They were telling me that credit card companies do that all the time. Sometimes they are ever vigilant and sometimes they are too vigilant. Yeah, I think that one dollar thing was a big tip off though. I guess we all have to be careful when we place orders on the internet. It's just so convenient though.

I love that you have good monetary karma!

Good monetary Karma can only be good.
Its surprising how many people don't expect it. We find purses/ wallets/ cell phones all the time around the store. The customer sets it down and forgets it and (surprisingly doesn't realize they left it) and yes, I peek in, find an address or phone number and call them then secure it until they arrive. The cash and credit is always the first thing they look at and its always a surprise to them that its still intact. Sad comment on our world nowadays.

Ah, smart idea. I'm pretty fanatic about my mail and shred almost everything that comes to me. Plus, my ccards live at home, since i only use them for online stuff.

Yeah, i don't have much on mine, either. Good luck, thieves!

I'm happy to hear that at least two people had their wallets returned with all their money and cards. I had no such luck, but it's nice to know good things still happen. :)

Oh man, I am sure I have built up some good money karma, lately it seems like people are just throwing their wallets with money in them at me. I've returned wallets with cash before, but in the last four months I've encountered three lost wallets/handbags. One I saw drop out of a guy's back pocket from across a busy street, by the time I got across the street and picked it up I had to practically chase him down the street to return it. Found another a few weeks later then another month later found a whole handback, complete with purse, passport and a bag full of jewellery which I took to the police station!

What good luck! I've been lucky that nothing has really happened to me that way, I only once paid for something twice online and I thought it'd turn into a hassle, but the credit card company took care of it. I was impressed.

You do have good money karma, but that's because you pay it forward as the saying goes. I am a firm believer in what goes around, comes around. Sorry for the temporary frustrations while they get you a new card.

General Blathering and Complimenting

Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I found your stories recced on the TWOP forums about a year ago, and I have your SPN master fic page saved in my phone as a bookmark- even though I'd read all the stories over and over, I love to go back and read them again. Even my husband loves the zombie bunnies.

So imagine my utter glee when I was checking out the site again today and found NEW STORIES! I was so excited, I stood out in the rain and giggled madly while I read them on my break from work. The "Cinderella" story in particular was absolutely divine. And I can read the wingfic stories over and over and over, and they never lose their punch.

Thanks for posting such great stuff- there's a lot of terrible fic out there, and your stories are so great they almost undo some of the awful ones. (none of yours are awful, btw) and I'm glad that I always have them go to go back to and read again.

Sincerely,

Sadie -

Re: General Blathering and Complimenting

Thank you so much! *smiles*

I'm actually in the process of updating my Master List so that's why you can see new stories. I'm not even nearly finished and as soon as I'm done I will ** any newish (newly put on the Master List) until I update again so it'll be easy to find them.

Give it about a week and there should be a whole plethora of new stuff up. :)
