Wing!fic... excerpt

So, this was the way the The Air In Between originally started until I decided I didn't like the way it was going and I was writing myself into a corner.

*Completely* different but just interesting because I kinda forgot that I did this... Has anyone else had a story go a completely different way to what they were intending or have written a snippet that is never going to fit anywhere else and hasn't seen the light of day?
