Basically yes, the way I see it, a long drawn-out fisticuffs would have Ronon win... maybe. But Dean and Sam have been training hand-to-hand and with weapons since they were little. I try to follow canon expectations for their physical aspect and as a reference, Sam took out three SWAT guys by himself with very little effort in an episode. Also, Ronon was not trying to hurt Dean, just basically disable him so he would be holding back.
Dean also has a history of openly goading people in authority and he basically just rubs John the wrong way because of this and also because John sees a lot of himself in Dean so can understand how dangerous he can be. John can be particularly territorial and he's trying to set up boundaries and Dean is pretty much pissing all over them. :) They'll both come around sooner later... heh.
Hehehee... I was aiming for indignation and to also make it apparent that both sides are in a difficult situation... :D
Oh, and thankyou for using IOC. I couldn't remember the acronym so that's why I didn't use it. *hands*
