-> US style, banked track Roller Derby tonight! I'm looking forward to it as we only have flat track in Australia. It's a tour of 2 US teams and it should be fun! Waiting at works for peeps because I work in a business park that also happens to house the stadium this is on at so, convenient! I love free work parking for things.

-> I've tried getting into Walking Dead every season with the first few eps because ZOMBIES are my favorite, edging out werewolves, but alas, I find something to hate and something that's awful about it with every season. I had hope for Season 3 because the jail is interesting and there was ALMOST kickass women roadtripping with deluxe pack-zombies but they ruined it, of course, by having the MOST BORING SINISTER TOWN IN EXISTENCE. Ugh.

-> Instead of working on the 6 dozen other stories I SHOULD be working on, instead I've written 10k (am not finished, gah!) of Papa Stilinski gets bitten fic. It will be Derek/Stiles and there are FEELS. Oh so many FEELS. When does this show start again? Does the Sherriff have a first name?? Gah!

Stiles is sitting outside the emergency department with his head balanced on his knees when he's hauled roughly to his feet. Stiles flails for a second before the searching hands and rough grumbling register as Derek and then Stiles goes limp, putting up with whatever reassurance Derek needs to give himself before he'll listen to actual words.

"Where are you hurt?" Derek demands, gripping Stiles by the shoulders and obviously resisting the urge to shake him, because he's wary of undiscovered injury.

"I'm not," Stiles says, bats Derek's hands away when he resumes patting Stiles down for himself. "No, Derek, I'm not, okay? I'm-" Stiles nearly says fine but he can't quite manage it because he's currently worlds away from fine.

"Why are you here?"

"I told you that."

"No, you mumbled something then hung up on me. I had to track you here."

"Like a bloodhound?" Stiles asks, blinking and Derek looks hilariously aggravated.

"More like someone who rang the number back you called me from and asked."

"Oh, that's not quite as cool," Stiles says and Derek's grip on him tightens. "Ow, ease up. I'm not a stress ball."

"Stiles."

"Okay, it's my dad. He said it was a giant dog, but how likely is that with the ol' Stilinski luck. He's worried about rabies, jesus, it's the last thing-"

"Stiles!"

I love this snippit! I've always been fascinated with the idea of the Sheriff getting bit but there are like NO fics.

Sheriff doesn't have a canon first name. Someone asked Jeff at NYCC what his first name was and he responded "Sheriff" because he thinks he's hilarious. Fandom has sort of settled on "John" but that's just fandom.

There are some really BAMF females in Walking Dead(comic) only they aren't giving them enough screen time on the show. Comic!Town is way creepier and the Comic!Governor is way worse than Show. Although I can understand why they don't put some of what he did in comic on the show. Dude was wicked sick.

Yeah, the first time I took a fanon name - the first name of the character was revealed like STRAIGHT AFTER and I ended up with a dozen stories with the wrong name.

I'll stick to Sheriff and 'his' dad since it's Stiles POV.

Ugh, SO BORING. I know they are trying to build up to the evil or something but the Mayor is like a bad copy of the Mayor on Buffy and the Sheriff in American Gothic. Andrea is smart and tough and a survivor, there is no way she wouldn't have CREEPER ALARMS going off whenever she was near him.

Jayzus, one would hope. But Andrea's been annoying me since season two and her fawning all over Shane about how awesome he was, blah blah. Whatever.

My number-one favorite on the show is Carol. I adore her. I want her and Daryl to just jump each other like sex-starved weasels. I love that, a few eps ago, she came on to him!

Is she the one with the super-short hair and Daryl the bow guy? If so, I would love that but I saw the latest ep and I didn't see her at all and thought maybe they'd killed her and I was like, OH GREAT, they killed the one woman I dug.

Right on both counts. And no, she's still there! I didn't like Maggie much at first, either - the woman from the farm - but I like her now. She and Glenn (the Korean boy) are cute together.

Plus, she was Bela on Show, so i just have to smile when i see her.

TWD is a weird mix of Boring Sinister Town and Awesome Jail where EVERYBODY is dying. So I spend half my time being bored and half my time watching between my fingers. :p

Sounds smart. Usually when someone gives him a creative name like "Jerry" it sort of throws me out of the story. "John" doesn't bother me because it's such a widely accepted name and it's such a typical man's name, but yeah... I've seen some weird first names for the Sheriff. I also usually flinch a little when people name Stile's mom because it throws me out of the fic for a minute. Vagueness is your friend here. :)
