Prompt: Forlyssie - Sam Carter and Kara Thrace in a bar, with Cameron Mitchell mocking them
Summary: A snapshot from the Earth In The Middle Verse, Cylons and Ori fighting a Holy War with Earth as the ultimate prize.
“Stop your whining.”
Sam looked up as Kara Thrace dropped into the chair opposite her and tipped her a smile and a wink. Cameron, half out of his flight suit, pulled the chair at the end of the table out and sat down.
“I’m sorry, but I thought I was being trained. I didn’t think we were playing bumper vipers,” Cameron snapped, pulling Kara’s tankard towards himself. She slapped his hands away from it and curled it back into her body.
“Just because you’re miffed, doesn’t mean you can steal my booze,” she groused.
Sam, taking pity on Cameron, pushed her own drink towards him. “Do I even want to know?” She’d been working on some calculations to try and increase energy efficiency through the Galactica but pushed her papers and laptop aside, knowing she wasn’t going to get any peace while Kara and Cameron were sniping at each other.
“She collided with me,” Cameron said, narrowing his eyes and Kara let out a bark of affronted laughter.
“I barely nudged you,” she protested, taking a swig of the Chief’s latest batch of moonshine. She had to thumb tears out of her eyes and wonder if maybe it was giving her brain damage.
Sam grimaced. “Why do you still drink that? There were cases of scotch in the last supply run from Earth.”
Kara shrugged. “I’m used to this. Tastes more like… home, you know?”
“No changing the subject. I want you, Starbuck, apparently best pilot in the fleet, to apologise to me, Shaft, the actual best pilot in the fleet for crashing into me.”
“I winged you so you would spin out. You need to know how to recover from something like that.”
“A likely story.”
“I swear it’s true,” Kara said, but her lips quirked at the last second and Cameron pointed a finger at her with an, “Aha!” of triumph.
“You Earthers are way too sensitive,” Kara snorted.
“Where’s Jackson?” Cameron asked, turning to Sam. When he’d left to go on his training run with Starbuck, Daniel had been on his way in.
“He’s had to go back to Earth. The Integration talks are breaking down and he’s going to try to swoop in and save the day.”
“What’s the problem?”
“It sounded all very political and very… “ Sam waved a hand in a helpless gesture. “According to Daniel, Admiral Adama and General O’Neill have gone fishing while the Joint Chiefs argue amongst themselves.”
“Sounds about right,” Cameron nodded.
“Hey Shaft. Saw your pirouette out there. Very fancy,” Racetrack called on her way in.
“How many times do I have to say that Starbuck ran into me!” Cameron snapped back and scowled when Racetrack gave him a ‘sure-sure’ wave of the hand.
“If you two are done, I’d like you to have a look at what I’ve been working on and tell me if it looks feasible to you,” Sam interrupted, turning her laptop around and pushing the piles of calculations in front of it.
Cameron and Kara looked at each other and then back at Sam.
“Um, training?” Cameron asked, flicking his head in the direction of the hatch.
“Yeah. I need it. I mean, I ran into you and all,” Kara nodded brightly.
Sam dragged her laptop back in front of herself when the two pilots had beat a hasty retreat and smiled.
“Finally,” she sighed.

Okay. I want more and not just Sam and Kara and Cameron, but I want to see Lee and I want to see Roslin and Vala and I want to see it all and what the hell the Cylons are doing to the Ori and how the Ori are trying to fuck the Cylons over to get Earth.

Combining my two favourite fandoms! And a joyful squee must be had at Cam's callsign :D
But on to actual feedback...
For such a short snippet, I think you pulled out just enough threads to link both universes in a way that really makes me see it. I already love the dynamic of Kara/Cam/Sam and I'm joining in the chorus of "more! more!"
