"Three Sided Square"
This is a quick little dabble (getting my toesies wet) into a verse that is taking over my brain just a little bit...

Summary: It wasn’t everyday that a naked guy fell out of the sky in the middle of the desert, but that was how they came to have Daniel.
Sometimes, when Jack was in a weird mood, he would scooch down in his chair and say, “Well, most people either come up against something alien or occult at some point in their lives. I’m just glad we have the latter.”
“And why would that be, Sir?” Sam would always ask, knowing her part by rote.
“Because the former is just silly,” Jack would snort.
~~~
He and Sam had hooked up about fifteen years earlier. She’d been wasted in an electronics repair store and Jack had recognised talent when he had seen it. The machines seemed to come alive under her touch and he knew the skill would transfer to most objects with moving parts, weapons included.
She’d had a scary aptitude and an open mind and they’d been together for a long time. She’d made fun of the fact that he lived on a boat for the first few months, but he was gentleman enough not to make an issue of it when she moved on board with him.
It was surprising how many things that went bump in the night just wouldn’t cross water.
~~~
It wasn’t everyday that a naked guy fell out of the sky in the middle of the desert, but that was how they came to have Daniel.
Every now and again, Sam would get ambitious and try to dig a little deeper. Jack had only let her say the word Fallen just the once before he’d put a stop to it.
“Don’t get curious. We needed him and he came, that’s all I need to know.”
“But, Sir,” she’d protest, because she was like that.
“Carter!” he’d bark back.
That would be the end of the argument, for a little while.
~~~
Mostly, Jack didn’t want to think of Daniel as some kind of Angel because of all the particularly hot and depraved things he wanted to do to him on a regular basis. There were just some lines he wouldn’t cross, and having Daniel identified would put a serious kink in the comfortable little family unit they had created for themselves.
Sometimes he suspected that Daniel might have more of a clue, but he wouldn’t mention it and Jack was the kind of guy that preferred to let other people live their own lives, not really wanting to dictate their lives for them.
After all three of them had gone to bed together for the first time, Sam dropped the subject completely.
Jack thought that was just hilarious.
There will be a few more installments kinda opening up the world in degrees. (I'll be sure to make them standalone though so it's not a neverending wip!)
:)
And yes, Teal'c definitely has a place. I just couldn't squeeze him into this bit anywhere and make him fit.
I have a serious love for AUs that rock, and this one totally does. Plus it combines my love of X-Files and Supernatural themes with my love of Stargate. And this is always a good thing.
Hee... Xfiles crossed with Supernatural... now that would be something to see!
