What Rocks

-> The ficlet request ideas are flying thick and fast now. I was having a mental blank and was therefore worried that I'd run out of mojo or something... eep!

-> Day off tomorrow! Woot. Getting my hair cut and then having dinner with girlfriends.

What Sucks

-> People keep talking about gatherings to watch premieres. Why am I on the other side of the world?? *sniffle* I will be there with you all in spirit.

-> Still without personal laptop at home. I was going to take it to the ridiculously far away place of far-ness to get it fixed tomorrow but am resentful fo having to use the day off I got for working 17 HOURS on a stupid errand.

-> I'm pretty much restricted to reading fic on the weekends because at work i just... can't. And yes, this week, there has been this massive plethora of Jack/Daniel from some of my favourite authors and I can only look at it longingly...

You're right...not having people to watch the premiere with does suck. I may be able to get the black & white cat to sit on the couch with me. Maybe you have a pet? Trying to smile here...

And work. Even those of us who "can" at work, well, people do start to comment when they see the LJ banner somewhere on the screen whenever they visit your office. So, I'm trying to low-profile it these days too.

You're right on about the whole stupid errand thing. At least stop on the way and buy a favorite beverage in a size larger than you usually get. And remember, at the end of the tunnel you will have a working personal laptop (although you may also have a smaller bank account as a result).

I hope this doesn't sound completely glib. I'll definitely be thinking of you during the S3 premier. Have a fabulous day off!!

Hee... :) I would have people that *would* watch it with me... if we actually *had* a premiere to look forward to. They have only just started S9 stargate here (at 11pm at night) and no sign of either Atlantis or Battlestar...

'nother planet! SG-1 S9 has its moments at least. Be sure to look for The Cigarette Smoking Man (from the X-Files) in a later episode. Here's hoping at least your laptop gets back in the high life soon!

I'm totally missing the premiere eps because I have to travel up to Seattle and go out to dinner with my cousin. Poor me. Then I go run races allll day Saturday and shall have no access to taped eps until Sunday. Also? I promised to record them to DVD for someone without quite managing to figure out how exactly I committed to doing so for the entire season.

Also? Glancing through, I was convinced you'd used the word 'glib' in this post, but now I can't figure out where.

Clearly, I need to get over the whole insomnia issue.

I hear ya on that one, hun. I live in Wa State and my moneyfree self is always too far away when there's fun doings to be done.

Ahh, but life is good anyway. I have the next 2 weeks off, and I'm planning to be a total and complete couch potato. Maybe a few day trips here and there.
