Okay, so I love a good AU.

AU

everyone is evil	zombies	historical	harlequin romance	AU of your choice
band/dance/performers	spies	powers swapped or no powers	different careers	apocalypse

And a bad cliche.

Cliche

pretending to be a couple	woke up married	magical transformation	inebriated confessions	"It was a dark and stormy night..."
forced bonding	coitus interruptus	"...and they lived happily ever after."	woke up on the wrong side of the bed	undercover operation
shopping for curtains	"you had me at hello"	huddling for warmth	amnesia	soulmates
kids or babies	fulfilling a prophesy/destiny	just in the nick of time	telepathy	mistaken identity
not really dead	phobias	in the future...	time travel	relying on the enemy

ETA: Oops, didn't read the rules properly! Sticking with the cliche table for now and will pick up the AU table later (when/if I finish the first one!!).

Just knowing that there is an AUs table makes me which I knew enough about the Avengers fandom to write in it, honestly. As it is, all I can do is read and flail. Not that flailing isn't an enjoyable pursuit, mind you!

Heh - I must admit to cribbing off some Avengers for Dummies people have posted... :D I basically cobble stuff together from the first lot of movies also.

We're all going to be incredibly jossed when the movie actually comes out. Hee!

I read the original (like, 1960s!) comics as a child—you can get them in these big, black-and-white compilation volumes. I had The Avengers, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man...I was basically head-over-heels for Marvel's cheesy stories of yore. So the revival of comic book movies over the past ten years or so has been very good to me. It's like my childhood, but in glorious technicolor! :D
