TGIFMF

It's the weekend and I have a wedding and my parent's fortieth wedding anniversary to go to. I am currently home only for another 30 minutes before I am off to a friend's place (I'm at least being picked up which I am always a fan of!) I want a quiet weekend, just one teeny, tiny, quiet weekend. Blah!!

Anyhoo, I'm determined to do something write-y and LJ-y so here, a meme of sorts...

Ask me either a broad [writing-related] question (i.e 'who is your cruelest character?', 'what is your most optimistic story?') or a specific question/request ('what world does ___ come from?', 'tell me about ___') and I will answer you. Or you can ask meta- questions like 'what was the inspiration for creating ____?' or 'how would you write ___'

At the moment, I have a cat on either side of me and they are both purring loudly so I have like, purring in surround sound. Ha!

just ONE question? gah!

What's your story you cherish the most?

Hmmmmm....

I'd probably have to say at this point that would be Do Winchesters Dream Of Electric Impalas (http://kellifer-fic.livejournal.com/235434.html). I think it's one of the only stories that came out on the page close to what was in my brain.

I'm gonna be mean and make you play favorites amongst your babies.

Which story is your favorite (and why)? Not your most popular one, but the one you enjoyed writing the most.

And which is your least? And why?

Oh noes - I always hate this question... hee!!

Again, I'd have to say Do Winchesters Dream Of Electric Impalas (http://kellifer-fic.livejournal.com/235434.html) for my favourite because it's the one story that made it mostly to the page the way it was in my brain. It's really frustrating that most stories don't.

I wouldn't necessarily pick one least favourite story but probably any early SG-1 stories I wrote, not because of the fandom but because I was just starting out, they weren't beta'd, there was terrible grammer guffs and worse spelling mistakes about canon stuff. It kills me not to go back and edit every single one but then I would end up either changing them completely or even deleting them and I guess I'm not ready to do that yet.

Ooo ooo... I got one. How would you write a Supernatural happily ever after?

Can I ask two? What fic by another author was so awesome that you wish you wrote it?

Only one of those questions is actually about your work, so I am totally counting it as within the rules :)

[identity profile] kellifer-fic.livejournal.com 2009-11-09 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
My Supernatural happily ever after might sound strange, but I think it would be in a post-apocalyptic world. Basically, I don't think the boys would ever feel like they could rest without something to fight or someone to fight for.

For the story/ies I wish I'd written, probably any written by [livejournal.com profile] fleshflutter, [livejournal.com profile] surrealis or [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster because all of them know how to build a world that you live and breathe with the characters. For specific stories, it would be hard to choose and I know I would think of tons I should have mentioned but going on instinct or very different ends of the dramatic spectrum, either Your Brains Are No Match For My TractorBeam (http://longsufferingly.livejournal.com/10691.html) by [livejournal.com profile] longsufferingly or South China Sea (http://tabaqui.livejournal.com/140033.html#cutid1) by [livejournal.com profile] tabaqui.

I figured your idea of 'happily ever after' wouldn't be anyone else's idea of happily ever after, which is why I asked :)

Checking out your answers to the other questions, I might have to wave this one in my friend's face. She ranks your wing!fic over Do Winchesters Dream... I like Do Winchesters Dream more than wing!fic (though we both love both). Being of a mind with the author should so count for something.

Hahaha... or it could be argued that I was asked which story was my favourite, not which 'verse. :D

No, thank you for writing such an amazing piece - I could feel the atmosphere, the sweltering heat of the jungle and the relationship between the boys was pitch perfect. It was the ultimate blend of world creation and characterisation.

In short, I liked it a WHOLE lot. :D
