Not writing, screaming
BB progress: 17,308 words.
It's a marathon to finish this thing, I feel like someone should be handing me drinks every few thousand words. I really need to get the first draft done and dusted today because this is really the last day I have to write. I'm not stressing *as much* about it because it finally sunk in that it *is* a first draft and it can be a little bit of a hot mess because I will have time to fix it.
What I wasn't expecting: To basically completely change the ending. The one bit I'd had firm in my mind was the ending for the whole writing of this and today, TODAY I change my mind about what I'm going to do. Not the penultimate final thing to happen but a really big element.
I walked down the road to get pepsi and something in my brain went sideways I think.
I think I'm just going to pause for a few minutes, read my flist and take a breathe before plunging back in.
ETA: AND DONE!!! Wow, I was really writing a 20k story because it's exactly 20,504... hahahaa! I'm assuming that will change with the many, MANY revisions it will need but jeebus, first draft is done.

PS: I don't recommend drinking the Gatorade, it looks delicious but it's usually THICK and it burns as you try and drink it while running, and it ends up all over your shirt making you sticky for the next ten miles. Always go for the water.

I'm really close. I'm at 18,598 at the moment. I'm not sure if I'll get anymore time today, but I have most of tomorrow and part of Monday to write, so I expect to be finished no later than that. I just lack the ending for the first draft. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done once I turn it in.
