The polar bear is the most Xmas-y icon I have... and it's summer here.

Last chance to let me know if you'd like a card this year. Don't be shy, I love sending 'em. I'm going to write the ficlets over the weekend and send the cards out during the week next week.

Now for a meme snagged from [livejournal.com profile] rowan_d -

01. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times?

Anything I own I've more than likely seen more than 10 times. Um, picking one - Loser. That's my schmoopy, feeling bad movie.

02. Name a movie that you’ve seen multiple times in the theater.

Independance Day - you can defriend me now, I wouldn't blame you.

03. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.

Matt Damon, Jared Padalecki.

04. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.

Nicholas Cage

05. Name a movie that you can quote from.

Lost Boys.

"Maggots Michael, you're eating maggots. How do they taste?"

Hair.

07. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.

Grease.

Children of Men

09. Name a movie that you own.

The Wedding Banquet. (One of eleventy billion).

10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.

I'm going to have to go with Row on this one and say Queen Latifah.

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?

Alien and Empire Strikes back as a double bill... although I don't think you could really call it seeing them because I was asleep in the back of the car and I think about 3 and the only bit of Alien I saw was the chest explod-y part so my Dad says I didn't emerge for the rest of the time.

12. Ever made out in a movie?

Yes

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven’t gotten around to it.

French Kiss.

Horror.

20. What’s the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?

Neverending Story - my birthday present was going to the movie.

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?

My #4 would be Tom Cruise. OMG! I used to watch his movies waaaaayyy back then, but after he started talking and preaching about Scientology (and the crazy stuff like declaring his undying love for Katie Holmes on tv etc), I really can't bring myself to watch any of his movies. I mean, I can't even re-watch Top Gun *sighs* There goes my childhood. LOL

I'm gonna snag this meme too. Thanks. Oh hey, Wall-e FTW! Did you see Burn-e? the short movie about that little robot that's supposed to repair the station, but always gets distracted? It's oh so funny!

I went to imdb to look up Loser ('cause since I'm German I might know the movie but not always the English title) and their top search result for "Loser"? God (http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0026790/) (with an amusingly large amount of Morgan Freeman images as sample media).

Now I wonder if imdb is trying to tell us something. *cough*

Oh! You *should* watch French Kiss. That's one that I own and have seen more than 10 times and can sing a long with (even though it's not a musical, just a really good soundtrack) and quote: You make my butt twitch. My butt is twitching. Twitch, twitch, twitch. (said in French accent, even)

(OK, but I should qualify that statement by saying that there are a LOT of movies that I own and have seen more than 10 times and can sing along with and quote. So while that might be very high praise from someone else, it's not that uncommon for me. Although it *is* very cute.)

And hee! Josie and the Pussycats! I agree. In fact, I was just trying to download that soundtrack the other day. But it's not on iTunes.

Oh Gosh Nicholas Cage! He makes me less likely to see a movie too. (and I am always reminded of that bit in Gilmore Girls where Rory makes fun of him in Corelli 'my bella bambina...'

I'd love a Holiday card from you again this year! It's fun to get cards from other parts of the world.

If you don't still have my address, let me know and I'll get it to you.

Thanks!

See that you don't care for Nicholas Cage either. I can't stand horror movies though. The nightmares afterward are a bitch.
