writing; melting

-> I've signed up for a [community profile] trope_bingo card. I'm hoping some of the squares match ANY of the TW stories I've already started - heh.

-> Do I sign up for [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang this year?? I think [livejournal.com profile] deirdre_c might kill me if I don't finish the J2 werewolf story I started LONG ago so mebbe... I've gotta really make a start on the [livejournal.com profile] teenwolf_xbb story also. It's less daunting at 10k... I think I always hesitate with the Supernatural big bang because of the 20k minimum.

-> Apparently, we're heading for such hot temperatures in my country at the moment (was 42C Tuesday and the entire COUNTRY'S average was 40 which is just insane considering Tasmania is usually pretty cold) that the weather bureau had to add colors to their temperature map. SHIZ JUST GOT PURPLE PEOPLE.

I saw the purple added to the Aussie weather maps yesterday - though they said your temperatures are supposed to be dropping a little? Also just saw these photos - amazing that this family all survived.

An acquaintance just got back from a four week vacation in Australia, and she was telling me about how it was 130F-140F. And then she was like, "Oh, and then I went to Sydney and it was only 90F." o___o

Heh, it took us a little while to catch up to the other parts of the country. We're now edging the 40's - I work in the "west" and it's always a little hotter than where I live... bleah.
