PT had an excellent notion...

I've created a draft journal.

Why?

Mostly because posting snippets, progress reports etc was not really what I wanted to be doing in my fic journal. There'll be works in progress, snippets, progress for ficathons (for me), research for original writing, discarded snippets because you never know, they might come in handy at some time down the track.

The only f-locked entries will be anything to do with original fic.

Feel free to contribute. I'll probably ask now and again for fic prompts if I'm having brain freezes. Not everything posted in it will make it here and it's mostly for my benefit but anyone is welcome to pull up a chair. I like the idea of writing as a communal experience because hell, usually it's the loneliest craft there is.

Welcome to my stream of consciousness. It may sometimes be a bumpy ride.

I have a special place in my heart for the bad guy. The evil genius or the diabolical master mind was always more infinitely interesting to me than the squeaky clean hero. I enjoy the anti-hero to an extent (if done well) and only really like the good guy if he's also flawed, makes mistakes.

But the bad guy has to be redeemable. He has to have a certain something that speaks to me, that makes him charming/sympathetic/just too plain fun to hate. He has to find glee in his mallice or I just don't... I can't connect.

On that, here are some...

Top Ten All Time Bad Guys and Why )

Edited to add: Ummm... haha... you may notice there is no number eight. Errr... a bad guy stole it!
